Yeah, Chico was convicted of kidnapping and sexually assaulting his ex-wife (or was it his college girlfriend?) before he got into directing porn. Not a surprise.

Despite his faults, he was still a good director though.

I'd have to disagree, I never saw a scene of his I liked (and this was before I realized what he was like as a person). Shitty porn through and through, imo.
IMO, he was no better or worse (as a director) than many other porn directors who were working at the time. Which isn't to say it was good. He hardly stood out as the shittiest in the business. If you didn't like him on a personal level, that's one thing but there was nothing really obviously remarkable about his porn that I remember. Edited by - randomprecision on 5/16/2009 8:16:29 AM

My question is, "Why would you do that for the sake of the director or movie? How is that remotely related to doing Double Anal?"

I think the answer is "because she's a performer and paid to do and say what the director wants". But there is another question: Why would a director want her to say this?
I am not gonna sit here and argue back and forth because this topic is beyond stupid. Like the person above me said, I am a performer, and I did what the director requested (and got paid for it). Why did he ask me to say such a thing if it doesn't relate to double anal? It's simple really. The act of double anal is considered unnatural, is it not? When people stereotype us women in porn for being sexually abused "because that's the only possible reason as to why she has chosen such a path," it's the same thing as what came of the scenario for that scene I shot. Call it perpetuating the stereotype if you will, but that is exactly what the director did. His movies are known for being depraved and demented. Moving on...
I wish you wouldn't. We could use more like you around here in response to these asinine posts. Unless there's a performer to dispute what they're saying, it usually goes unchallenged even if it is fairly obvious they probably don't know what they're talking about. Plus, we're always happy to have another performer in our midst here. Edited by - randomprecision on 5/17/2009 12:41:45 PM

I didn't say he was the shittiest (although that is a possibility) merely shitty, which is about average for most porn produced during that time. When he talked to the performers he was annoying and he shot and directed a scene with a hot girl so poorly that he would create an un-wankable (for me) product out of it.

Oh Shit!! It looks like Ms. Annie Cruz just put the smackdown on some of our oversensitive posters. Looks like some people need to pick their faces up off the floor.

She didn't put a smackdown on anybody but herself and other women. She blames other people and the director for perpetuating the sterotype but nothing about herself freely going along with it.
What experiences a person brings to porn is as diverse as the population of actors, directors, and staff. Some do it as a "last resort", some do it as their empowerment, some are forced, some can't wait. One would be hard pressed to morally or ethically draw a bright line in the sand and say "This is what is right and this is what is wrong to watch." in legitimate porn*. At most one could try and establish some ethical and moral relativism based on each situation and come up with a "standard" that applies ONLY to that actor or movie. I think there are a number of actors that have had various "up's and down's" in their career and have admitted to a whole host of BTS things while performing. I can see no real absolutes here nor do I think it is ethically "wrong" to include this performers work as part of a new video nor do I think it is wrong to purchase yet "unreleased" videos of her. Do I think it is personally a bit crass? Yes it isn't my call nor do I know the full extent of the situation of ownership/rights behind the scenes in question. I can define a few "bright lines" based on posts in these threads: If the video was of her actually being raped, that would be a definite crossing of a line. If she admitted and it was "documented" or irrefutable that she was forced to perform certain scenes, again that would be crossing a line. If she were a minor at the time of filming, a very bright line not to cross. There are a few of actors (and in particular women) that come to porn as a "desperate act" or because they are "out of options". Conversely there are many women who end up in porn as part of driven and calculated career decision. The HOW of how they got into the business is only part of the equation, and ultimately does not define an entire career. Her situation is, one would hope, fairly uncommon and at "worst" a tragic footnote in a the entire industry of porn. It is certainly much more weighty when one considers her personally and her family and the impact it has had on them. Don't look at her situation as trying to define or divine a lesson from the porn industry; look at is a what it REALLY is. A tragic end to what seems to have been a difficult life. There is has some probative and life lesson value, not so as an "indictment" of the porn industry. Now as to content and "acting". There can be no moral or ethical relativism here as it is fantasy. Calling someone out because they chose to do a scene that some might consider objectionable, simulated rape, for example. Is like saying to any number of A-list Hollywood stars who make their money in action films; they shouldn't because it simulates death or violence. Now maybe you DO agree with that but when we blame the content of a movie for how it might mold society and shift mores, we deny our free will and negate any form of personal responsibility. *legitimate equates to consenting adults performing with no undue pressure or without being coerced.
Don't be an idiot. I didn't put any "smackdown" on myself or other women nor do I blame anyone for anything. Yes, I freely did it. Why? Because I can...and I did. If you see that as me lowering myself to some stupid standard that you expect us women to sit upon, sobeit. I know that isn't the case, and I am sure everyone else will agree. Why does a mainstream actress choose to play a drug addict in a movie? Did Heath Ledger seriously take a role as homosexual cowboy? Should I look at these people any differently because of it? Absolutely not. If I have admitted that everything I said in the movie mentioned in this thread was fictitious, no one needs to question it's validity nor should anyone think lower of me because of it. People will always stereotype women in porn. I have been doing this SIX fucking years, and I deal with it. It's life. If I told you I, too, was demented and depraved, will that make you feel any better about what I have had to say or why I chose to do that in the movie? Probably not. Do I give a flying fuck? Not really.

I think this has to be the first time that a porn starlet who I can't even see has ever given me a hard-on.
Haha rock the fuck on, dudes! ;) I did not know Haley personally. I met her on several different occasions, however, and I thought she was a sweetheart.

I happen to agree with this response. Men on this forum and in porn in general, refuse to accept and better understand that many women that do very sexual acts for a fee indeed come from very troubled, abused, imbalanced, and psychologically damaged back rounds. How can a woman "channel" from being raped or sexually abused through being further sexually abused, now for a fee? Most porn actresses have been abused in some way. Sex is NOT a way to make a negative situation into a positive one. That thinking is from some dude who thinks coking a woman is considered acceptable four-play. This industry gets away with cruelty, lies, sexual abuse, drug abuse, rape, and unfair working conditions that should be the norm for everyone and not just which agency has the most to spend and compassion. Psychological services should also be given within a medical package for all part / full / and contracted employee's. My God, if you want to continue to watch very mentally unstable women have sex for money, at least fight for them to seek the proper medical health needed, so women can move from porn into a better way of life. No one can honesty say what we watch is considered normal.... I know this is border line and open for criticism, but women with beautiful figures who allow you to view sex acts are still human beings, even if some of those ladies quit believing they are. I could go deeper, but not tonight.

I'll just wait a couple months, then sign up for yet another new account, and come back and bump the thread to agree with myself. They'll never suspect that it's me again. Yeah . . .
