Fujiko Kano

Anthony Petkovich: I assume “Fujiko Kano” is a stage name. How did you come up with it?
Fujiko: The ‘kano’? — that means “dream come true.” And ‘Fujiko’ means “one of a kind.” I picked the name myself.

When did you first get interested in sex work?
Actually, I was curious about sex stuff since I was five. I saw a girlie magazine — maybe it was Playboy, Hustler, whatever — and I saw naked girls inside and was very interested. I’d never seen white people before that, and I thought the white women in those magazines were like angels — with blonde hair, blue eyes, nice shapes ... I couldn’t believe that those persons existed. And I wanted to be like that! [laughs] As I grew older, I had sex with Japanese and American girls — and I find that they each smell and taste different. I would say that Asian girls smell more fishy, and Caucasian girls are more like cheese. [laughs]

Tell us about the first X-rated movie you made in Japan.
It was a bukkake ... (laughs)... you know, where one girl gets showered with cum from many men.

And how many guys were in this bukkake?
Forty.

Wow! That was quite a start.
I know! [laughs] Semen all over. And I couldn’t take it any more. I was 26 when I did that. I started late. [laughs]

And how exactly did you land this particular job?
When I was a stripper in Tokyo, a guy came up to me and asked if I wanted to do a porn video. I didn’t know him, which I liked, because I didn’t want my family to know that I was stripping. So I said to the guy, “Sure, let’s do it.” And the next day he took me to one of the video companies, but they didn’t tell me what I was going to do. [laughs] I had no idea that 40 guys were gonna come all over me. Whooo! [laughs] It took all day, 24 hours, because I did three separate scenes. In Japanese porn, you see, an actress doesn’t just do one scene per day like they typically do in America; you usually do three scenes, then they pay you for the whole day. Sometimes that’s good, sometimes bad.

Describe your three scenes in the bukkake for us.
Well, in one scene I introduce myself to the camera, then I just lay down on the bed, and three guys come all over me. In the second scene, I drink cum from a glass after 10 guys shoot their semen into it. Yeuchhh! [laughs] PLUS ... in that same episode, I had to eat noodles with semen on it, like it was sauce. And in the third scene, while I’m fucking a guy, another 40 guys just ... come all over me. [laughs] Altogether, I only did six or seven porno movies in Japan.

Tell us about growing up in Japan.
I was raised in a very traditional way. I couldn’t even talk directly to my father until I was 20, which is when my grandmother died. My grandmother was the boss in the house; I had to listen to her all the time. So when she died, my father became the boss and I had to listen to him all the time. But when I was younger, he would talk to me or scold me when I did something wrong — but I couldn’t talk back.

Let’s discuss those amazing breasts of yours. They really talk back. Are they natural?
Yes! Actually, my mom and grandmother have huge boobs compared to me. I think the people from my island are originally from Mongolia. The people from Tokyo are maybe from China. But my people? — from Mongolia. That’s why we have the big tits.

What kind of jobs did you have before porn?
I worked as a golf caddie. Mostly young ladies, not men, do that in Japan. I did it at a golf club for about a year, then I did hostessing for a night club.

I’ve heard about hostessing. That’s like being an escort, right?
Well, all we would do is pour drinks for the customers and talk to them, and the customers would pay us for our company and conversation. I did that until I was 22. It was at a night club in Fukuoka.

Why the shift to porn?
Well, every time I do a movie, I get to have sex with different people — and to me that’s the whole point of doing porno. And I really give all my energy to my scenes, everything that I have, so I think they’re really the best I can do. But ... [laughs] ... I also like my picture on the box covers. That’s my favorite part, too. So far, my favorite is the box cover for No Man’s Land Asian Edition 3. That was beautiful.

In Red Light District’s Me Luv You Long Time, you mention your preference for pink penises. Would you explain this fetish of yours?
Okay. [laughs] White guys usually have either beige- or pink-colored penises. The beige ones have more of a yellow tone, like gravy. But I really like the pink ones. And usually with pink penises, the testicles have a certain smell. I like that smell! It’s a hormone-type smell which gets me going. Whooo! [laughs]

I’ve noticed that you don’t manipulate your clit while having sex on-camera. Why is that?
Because I really don’t need to do that. I can use my hands for other things. Actually, I prefer to be tied up, that way I can’t touch at all! [laughs] But I haven’t done any videos like that. I didn’t want to do bondage videos in Japan, but now I’m very interested.

You played a dominant in Joey Silvera’s Service Animals 6. What was that like?
It was fun! But there was no script, and I work much better with written dialogue. Joey told us his general idea, with me playing this cop-woman dominating and fucking two guys. And Joey told us that if we wanted to say something .... just say it. But at that time I had no words in my vocabulary to play the role of a dominant, so I didn’t know what to do! [laughs]

Don’t worry. You did just fine. By the way, how tall are you?
Five feet, two inches. I’m short! I always wear really high heels, like seven inches sometimes ... hard to walk in them, but I need ‘em to get better air. Here in L.A. there isn’t much good air, you know? [laughs]

One of my favorite Fujiko scenes is definitely in Barely Used 3, where you tell Lee Stone to fuck you as if you were a dog.
[Laughs] And everyone on the set started to laugh at me when I said that.

And, of course, you naturally meant it ... right?
Why not? He was doing me really hard, so I felt like a dog. “Do it like dog!” I screamed. (laughs) Sometimes I go too wild. When I recently had a scene with Nick Manning, a police officer came out to check up on us. It was for Rain Productions ... Anal Holiday I think it was called. The scene was shot outdoors, I was screaming too much, and I guess the neighbors called the police. But I wasn’t the only one who was loud ... Nick was loud, too. We went really high.
