I still don't understand the fascination with breast implants in porn. So many gorgeous women, esp. young women, with great natural breast (even small breasts) elect to get implants. We have all seen the resulting majority of bad boob jobs and horrible alien look. I'm not going to give examples of female performers because fans can probably name dozens of them off the top of our heads.
What I don't understand (besides the obvious destruction of a beautiful natural body) is how women ignore the negative effect on their fan bases, which directly impacts their financial present and future earning potential. I have seen countless fans of stars (lower # of fans = fan base = returning customers decline) dwindle post-surgery from comments on websites (e.g., saying they will not longer collect the stars present/future work). The significant decrease in a performers fan base post-op should not be surprising as countless polls and studies in the US have shown that men prefer women with natural breasts rather than breast implants. So if breast implants cause a significant net negative financial impact of a star why do female performers continue to get breast implants? Of course there are a small number of exceptions, but it's the exception rather than the rule.
I come from a unique medical research prospective. I have worked on clinical trials looking at the effectiveness of chemotherapeutic drugs in breast cancer patients using CT & MRI scans to track tumor distributions and size in breast cancer patients. You can tell if a woman has breast implants by looking at CT/MRI scans, although I have developed an accurate sense just by looking after doing experimental non-breast implant surgery. I have been amazed at the sheer number of breast cancer patients with implants, but I am even more shocked by the increasing numbers breast cancer patients with implants that come from European and Russian medical clinics.
Over the years I have preferred Eastern European and Russian women largely due to their overall low number of breast implants and preferring natural bodies even if breasts are small. However recently many fans and I have noticed these women who have traditionally avoided breast implants are electing to get breast implants. My personal observations validates this observation.
So this leads me to my question, why do women in porn still elect to get breast implants after decades of seeing negative effects (economic consequences, health consequences, and general preference of men) of breast implants, especially the negative financial/career impacts? Anyone have any insight to this?
Caveat: I am not talking about valid cases of surgery such as congenital & traumatic disfigurement, burns, or other reasonable reasons).
