The black 'ink' (around the centre hole which has side A or B written on it) has 'splashes' / 'over-runs' that are actually on the playback face of the discs.

In addition to that, the minute I see a boxcover in the warehouse, I'll post that up too. I revamped the shopping cart and took over the entire mail order operations. You may see some kinks in the next week or so but it should prove to be smooth sailing.

There is no excuse for not releasing GBG 34 on schedule, because the scenes were shot at least 9 months ago but probably more than 1 year ago. Any excuse is simply a bad excuse. The only excuse that is real is someone screwed up big time and heads should roll. I guess Anabolic figures the fans do not mind -- wrong -- fans get pissed; I am pissed and will only write a negative review of GBG 34, assuming I can be bothered to write a review at all. Remember, Shyla had her tit job and went softcore a long, long time ago; she might even get remarried before GBG 34 comes out. The cover was ready and the release date was advertised in an adult convention in January 2002. The scenes may have been taped in June 2001 for all I know. It cannot take that long (1 year +) to edit, master, and manufacture both VHS and DVD. Heck, Red Light can do it in 2 months and do a fantastic job at that. And after all is said and done and when Anabolic GBG titles are finished, the editing is still careless, rushed, inadequate, and full of mistakes. The last few GBG’s were extremely mediocre with bad camerawork and editing. What a waste of prime female talent.

While Anabolic/Diabolic may be first to scoop new girls, it does not really matter any more because other studios will release the girls first.

All I can say is the management should get a more competent production manager and not schedule releases based on some weird internal policy. I will have to buy less Anabolic/Diabolic titles and not review any of their products. And I am sure that many long time Anabolic fans share my views.

To be fair to Erik, he is making a conscious effort to get his works in a timely manner, and the camerawork and editing in his titles (like Un-Natural Sex) are better than the rest of Anabolic/Diabolic titles. He has probably no control over the release schedule. Good for you Erik.

Good thing we have Dion and RLD, and Trish and EA to set good examples of what top porn companies should be like. Being professional is everything. Incompetence is not.

I think you might be a little unfair in you statements about Anabolic. Evil Angel has had a few screw up too, even RLD had one

-RLD's Straight To The A #1 had the last chapter that wouldn't play on 95% of peoples machines (mine did however, Sony baby!)
-Evil Angel released Animal Trainer #1 with a scene missing and another in it's place and the end credits from another movie alltogether. Then released Animal Trainer #2 with the missing scene from #1 and the wrong credits at the end of that movie even though they knew it wasn't right. Instead of fixing the #1 they released #2 wrong as well. Plus a couple of titles that had to be recalled.
Not everyones perfect. All I ask is that they tell us when a title on dvd is going to be released, even if it's a little late I don't mind, just let me know approximately when and I'm fine with that.

Anabolic better get their act together, I think they've made a good start by announcing they're gonna start trying dual VHS/DVD releases (of course, it seems as though GBG34 hasn't been released at all yet). If they get that going right, and somehow revive the gangbang series, us porn fans will be in for a major treat with these 2 companies competing.

I am not being critical of Anabolic/Diabolic because they ran into so technical problems or because shit happened. The problems that RLD and EA had were technical problems and not self-inflicted. A/D’s problems were self-inflicted, and so, the excuses are unacceptable. My guess is that the scenes in GBG 34 were shot at the same time as GBA 8, and GBA 8 came out in Early December 2001. From that, I would infer that Shyla's scene was shot in July or August 2001 and the Nicky and Shelby’s scene was shot shortly after that. In the January 2002 CES, they had the covers for GBG 34. A/D had many months to work on GBG 34 and choose to sit on the tapes. Probably some time in June or July 2002 (after a delay of one year), they decided to get working on it for a September 30 release. A/D then ran into snags and could not get it out. Because they choose to sit of the master tapes and got delayed, they are solely responsible and any blame shifting, is just that, blame shifting.

After all, Shyla is no longer the hottest thing in the market and is almost irrelevant. She no longer does gonzo but does only lesbo scenes. She has got a tit job and will get married soon. By waiting so long, GBG 34 is basically a wasted effort.

It is the internal policy of sitting on the master tapes, then releasing titles that are almost irrelevant, and then making lame excuses that I am critical about.

GBG 33, which just came out, was actually shot before GBA 7 and GBA 7 came out in August or September 2001. GBG 34 was probably shot in July to September 2001. This long delay strongly suggests that A/D do not care much about the fans. As such, A/D should be upfront enough not to make excuses but acknowledge that they screwed up big time.

EA is working very hard to get the Fashionistas out in time and can get a major project (4 hours + and shot on film) out in 3 to 4 months. RLD can get their titles out in 2 to 3 months. A/D claims that they don't make cookie cutter porn, but the reason why they take so long is not because of excellent production values, but because they have some weird internal policy of sitting on the masters and letting them collect dust. After all, the editing and production are not better than EA or RLD. Neither are the talents. RLD and EA often have newer talent.
