Makes it more of a shock to the brain or something - to have such a stream of new, stimulating images assaulting your mind, rather than just a static, single-camera, single-angle approach. The film actually comes with two discs: An Artcore Version (the scenes of which are like I described above), and a Hardcore Version, which, as I recall, gets rid of the music, and lets you hear the groans and yells and other sex noises.
