It had some black and white scenes, much of it was in widescreen, and it was shot in Rome, Italy. The four women in it haven't been "over exposed" by making hundreds of movies each too. (it claimed to have a few debuts and only one of them had made more than a dozen films before this was shot) I finished my review early this morning and it should be posted later today. The bottom line, for me, was that any fan of Blake's work should buy it. |

He does not have the ownership interest in them as he does with later titles like HIDDEN OBSESSIONS (which originally was released by Ultimate Pictures, than Blueframe, and now Studio A), or LES FEMMES EROTIQUES, or other post-Caballero studio work. Before Caballero begin releasing their mediocre DVD editions of the four videos, DaVid Video originally put out NIGHT TRIPS, SECRETS and HOUSE OF DREAMS in the digital format, and their work was also mediocre at best. Only NIGHT TRIPS 2 is available on Caballero, and the packaging is all screwed up (pictures of NIGHT TRIPS 1 are imprinted on the DVD and the back cover) and there are chapter and time-code problems galore. Don't get me wrong; the DVD editions are better than the tape versions, but that's about it. At this time, he has expressed to me that he has no immediate concerns over getting these videos back to Studio A, preferring to leave "the past behind." |

They definitely seemed to rescue an industry that looked like it would never again spend money or effort in producing a real film. Considering all of the crappy shot-on-video features of that same era, I shudder to think what we'd be watching if it weren't for Andrew Blake. Saki Edited by - Saki on Jan 27 2001 |
