My wife and I are thinking of adding an adult anime title to the next monthly purchase. We have never seen an adult anime flick, just regular anime. can anyone point us in the direction of some good titles?
It really does depend on what your looking for when it comes to deciding on titles. Most (but not all) adult anime explores things that live action pornography doesn't. This could range from supernatural monsters with bizarre pussy penetrating tentacles, to more extreme bondage, sex, violence and rape/slave themes--that are in their own way (becuase of their inherent lack of authenticity) far more palettable than anything live action could create. Also, adult anime is more willing to actually develop a story than most live action porn, so depending on the title you might see only a short amount of actual sex in comparison to story development.
Perhaps you already knew all this... and I say hey, if you're interested go for it. I'm not up enough on adult anime to really confidently recommend titles (but I have enjoyed the odd title or two), and I can say with some certainty that it won't be for everyone. I can imagine that to some, becoming aroused by drawings simply requires too much suspension of disbelief. Anyone who's interested aughta try it at least once though. :) That's my take.
Hey Gonzophile! I know a few things about the adult animes (called hentai actually, where hentai means "perverted"). But like MLyons said, there is a wide variety of kind/genre, so it becomes just has hard to recommand titles as if you'd ask "what are the good porn flicks?"
astroknight reviewed a few titles, that you can find by running a search for NuTech. They make the best hentai to my knowledge (and taste).
Personally I really enjoyed the Shusaku and Shusaku Replay serie but it is also the most hardcore H stuff you can find! I think the Cool Devices serie is also very good and it has many episodes axed on different fetishes, so you have the choice. :)
But if you give more specifications on what you'd like to see, I can probably point you to the correct titles. (Do you want something more like a regular anime but that has some sex in it?)
Things like that are what we are looking for. We can see real people having regular sex on a regular porn. We don't necessarily want the anime for getting turned on, but for more of a "can't see that in real life" kind of entertainment value. Just curious is all. Always looking to see something new. So, super hardcore is fine, extreme fetishes are fine (with the exception of scat, neither one of us are really into that). Maybe this can narrow it down some. Thanks.
Ok, I don't know if you've seen the Mason's Dirty Trixxx movies? Well Shusaku has kind of the same theme. An old fart degrades young schoolgirls and while they are disgusted at first, by the end of the serie (4 eps), they can't live withouth it. (The difference between Shusaku and Shusaku replay is that the characters are the same but it's two different turn of events... the 'Replay' being the kinkiest)
For the tentacle action YogaGrrl is refering to, you can see La Blue Girl. It is quite well done. I don't know if this is appealing to you but it certainly isn't something you will see it Vivid's next feature
Night Shift Nurses is another hard title. There are a few rape scenes in this that, I must confess, aren't arousal-free for me.
Those are to my knowledge, the titles with the hardest stuff.
Funny fact: Jenna Haze makes the voice of a character in Immoral Sisters and Asia Carrera in Shusaku!
I've reviewed a few anime titles and should have a few more coming in a week or two (first I've got to finish up my Evil Empire Extravaganza for reviewing). I'm planning on reviewing the DNA Hunter Box Set (which I think is my favorite I've watched but not reviewed yet). I should have a few other reviewed as well, such as Words Worth and Desert Island Story X (and maybe one or two more depending on how far I dig back in the porn chest), so if you're interested in them you might want to wait a week or two.
Overall, I'd suggest avoiding NuTech as I think they're extremely overpriced low effort DVDs. If you pick up a NuTech anime DVD you're going to pay at least $11 and normally not even get a half hour feature and no extras. I think Central Park and Kitten (or was it Kitty?) have done the best jobs I've seen. You normally get a full series rather than just an episode and extras starting at $15.
