Friday, July 8 There's simply no way I can even begin this recap without offering (yet again) MAJOR thanks to Alex "Monstar" Raymond and Sugar Bear Media. I wouldn't have had a fraction of the fun I did that weekend without Monstar's help. My pics should be going up on Sugar Bear soon, but he gave me his blessing for uploading these photos myself today. Having missed AEE 2011, this was really my first time seeing many faves in over a year - girls like Allie Haze (whose star has grown exponentially since last year), Andy San Dimas (who never missed an opportunity to lovingly mock my screen name), and the one and only Kristina Rose. More so than any previous EXXXOTICA, the stage shows featured some phenomenal entertainment. I was constantly mesmerized by the vignettes performed by The Continuum. Even MEN the Show provided some memorable laughs, particularly when female fans were involved. But the Pretty Things Peepshow was the cream of the crop. I watched all 3 performances during the weekend, but it wasn't until Sunday that I finally got shots to my liking.
Cocked and Loaded VIP After Party After refueling with some Gino's East sausage deep dish, I checked out the after party in the Hyatt ballroom. Had fun catching up with POPPORN'sBrian Bangs and Spock Buckton. There really wasn't much going on outside of the VIP area - just a couple strippers (who couldn't fully strip), a mostly empty dance floor, and a whole lotta dudes. So there really wasn't any urge to venture outside the ropes. As the night drew to a close, I was quite impressed with an extremely inebriated James Bartholet's ability to pull Sunny Leone, Andy San Dimas, and Lexi Swallow together for a Not Charlie's Angels XXX group shot. Saturday, July 9 Day 2 started with finding a sweaty Asa Akira in the hotel's gym. Not a bad way to start the day. Inari Vachs arrived, looking tight as always. And I nearly lost my soul in Sarah Vandella's ass, which is almost as hypnotic as her megawatt smile. But the day truly belonged to Ann Marie Rios. Part of my Sugar Bear duties involved a walkaround of the show floor with Ann Marie. These can either be loads of candid fun, or excruciating ordeals of awkwardness. Thankfully, Ann Marie was a trooper and a delight from start to finish. We even got a little "tour" of the PornStar Tweet trailer! I never properly met Ann Marie before this show, but I can confidently say she's one of the sweetest and most enjoyable girls I've ever encountered in the industry. Members Only VIP After Party Lisa Ann and Mr. Marcus hosted Saturday's after party, which was sort of a mixed bag. On one hand, I really enjoyed the on-stage entertainment provided by Too White Crew. On the other hand, the set-up of the VIP area was awkward at best. It was basically a few rows of cafeteria tables surrounded by a retractable cord. So instead of enjoying and dancing to the music, many fans were crowded around the ropes and snapping flash photos. But that didn't faze Brian Bangs, Andy San Dimas, and Spock Buckton. Halfway through the night, a "Booty Contest" was held on stage. Among the contestants were Alexis Texas, Allie Haze, and (despite her total "Why me?!" confusion) Lexi Belle. Although Alexis ultimately won the contest, all of us at the foot of the stage had pretty strong arguments for Allie. I'm not completely sure, but I think her utter lack of underwear may have had something to do with that opinion. If you wanna see more - including Lexi Belle's complete inability to keep her finger out of Allie's crotch - you know where to go.
Sunday, July 10 Day 3 featured Tanya Tate's return to the show after spending all of Saturday sick and in bed. If I wasn't told this, I never would've guessed she was feeling under the weather. I enjoyed some long, in-depth chats with Candy Manson and Gracie Glam, both of whom charmed me in completely different ways. And I got to meet the criminally cute Tia Cyrus, who offered pizza slices and chicken wings to Tanya and myself in the Porn Star Road Trip bus. How can you not love that? But as I mentioned above, the last day of the show was all about getting proper shots of the Pretty Things Peepshow.Stoya amazed everybody with her Lyra (Aerial Hoop) routine, while Miss Heather Holliday tried to set the roof on fire. I know the PTP troupe is bringing their show to EXXXOTICA L.A. later this month, but I haven't heard if Stoya will be joining them or not.
