The group you are referring to was alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.scheherezade which was primarily active between 1996 and 1997. Scheherezade got a bit of a bee in his/her bonnet and quit posting in 1997 over some real or imagined insult that happened on that newsgroup. I was fairly active in that group at that time as well as several others before the web was everything it is now.

Scheherezade's "work" was really just scans of other copyrighted pictures. Back then, there were several high-quality photo mags of porn, most with small little "themes" or "stories" to accompany the pictures. Think porn picture books and you'll get the idea. Some of these came from major players....Private had Private, Pirate, XXX and a couple of others. They used to cost like $30 each to buy but that was portable high-quality hardcore porn before DVD's were pervasive.

Scheherezade had two primary series (had some others posted under different names). The SX series and the ST series. The ST was for "Scheherezade's Tales," and his source material was predominately one of these hardcore photo mags. Scheherezade was based out of Australia, and I managed to locate a few of the mags he used as source material but that's been well over a decade ago and I've long since thrown that stuff away. I'll do some googling and see if I can't locate the magazine name, but I know for a fact it was distributed in Australia, Spain and Germany because I saw it in all three countries in my travels back then. I actually used to buy the most recent copy whenever I was overseas because I couldn't find it in the USA.

So long and short.....the source material for the Anita Blond pix you saw likely came from one of these mags published sometime between 1995-1997. And given the quality of these pix, I'm not so sure they were actually movie clips...the photography was very high quality and the photshoots could've been staged as JUST photoshoots. That was the norm back then for high quality hardcore as you had no easy way to distribute the stuff like you do now, other than on crappy VHS.
