I have a couple of complaints with the new design. Having the drop down menus above the search boxes is really annoying. Since my mouse is usually at the top of the screen from having clicked on a menu option to arrive at the website, the natural thing to do is to move the mouse down to the search box. Unfortunately, that means mousing-over the drop-down menu, which blocks access to the box. &*#$(#!! They really need to be where they aren't obstructing something else when they're down.

Also, I'd rather not have the previous search text show up, since odds are I don't want to search for the same thing.

Wow I fucked that up entirely and I apologize. I thought Hardware was bitching about ADT.

There is nothing wrong with your monitor. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission. For the next hour we will control all that you see and hear. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to the outer limits.

Go into Preferences (under IAFD SERVICES) and choose to not have your search terms follow you around.

We added the option years ago (and I'm assuming it just started working for a majority of visitors given the number of comments we've been getting on it; good and bad) in response to user feedback.

As far as the menu placement goes, I guess if one moves their mouse slowly, I can see your point. I don't usually trigger the rollover when I'm mousing from the top, so I haven't noticed that issue so much...

We'll be making incremental design changes over the next several months, so perhaps we'll be correcting that in the future.

Thanks for the tip of on preferences. As for your suggestion regarding mousing over, I don't think I'm moving the mouse slowly. I just tried moving it very quickly but it made no difference. The only time the menu doesn't pull down is if the mouse flies on by the data-entry box as well. So that does me no good.
