i've heard stories about all kinds of baiting and switching in the porn industry-- from persons on boxcovers not appearing in the movie to agencies sending other girls to shoots instead of the ones agreed upon.

i have another bait and switch scenario. what about the producers and directors? a female talent that he(or she) is about to shoot has requested for a certain male talent to work with. the producer/director agrees to the pairing and tells her he would contact the male to do the shoot with her. later the female shows up for the shoot but the male she has requested is nowhere in sight. instead the producer/director has another male talent to take his place and wants the female to work with him. i imagine the female is less than happy that her choice is not there.

the question is why her choice did not make it to the shoot? car problems? overslept? another shoot? etc.
or could it be that the director never had any intention of using her choice instead pairing her with his choice of male talent?

how often is this type of bait and switch practiced? i imagine there are some directors/studios who do this but to what extent? how common is this practice? i hope not too common.
