I want my favorite porn starlets to look pretty. It seems obvious, but maybe it's not. Faith (Leon) always makes me think about this. I never took notice of her in the gonzo scenes I saw, but I just watched Paul Thomas' Sex & Violins, and she's gorgeous, really breathtakingly glamorous, all that. I'm sure I've mentioned that before from the Wicked movies she's been in.
And the reason is probably not a mystery. Feature companies seem to want the women to look beautiful. Gonzo companies want to work them over. In a lot of gonzo scenes, the woman's makeup is wrecked inside of two minutes because she's been gagged hard enough to make her eyes water, and from there it's all downhill. I've seen BTS in features where they redo the makeup during the scene -- I'm guessing this never happens in a RLD movie.
It's a tradeoff, I know. You can't make an omelette without smearing some mascara, and I like the raw look now and then, too. And sometimes you're not losing much, frankly. But with Faith, man, it's like you get so much more when she's wearing a nice dress and looking radiant. And it's not like she doesn't still end up with cum on her face (not in this movie, but you know).
