I've been following your problems in this forum and the one at DVDForum. Like you, I've had (am having) problems with DVDBO. I've posted this here rather than on the DVDForum for propriety. Are all the missing disks adult titles, or are some of them mainstream as well? If they're all adult titles, then I'd smell a rat - a British rat working for Royal Mail, and I'd start giving them problems. If there's a mix of titles, then I'd expect them to be taking different routes into the UK. I think either way your problem isn't with DVDBO. Venting your spleen about the company may make you feel better, but in view of the way the thought police have been reacting to Movietyme posts, it's only a matter of time before somebody gets stroppy about these threads and you wreck your chances of getting any joy. I'm on your side. Think about what I posted on the DVDForum about your options. I hope you get it all sorted out soon, m8.

Hi JMO,

Yeah they were all adult dvds! Costing well over £140.
I never had any problems with jiffy bags being posted to me before but i`ve had a few letters gone missing using Royal Mail.
I agree with you about venting my anger, but dvdboxoffice dont wont to know, I doubt royal mail will because none of the parcels were insured so they can`t trace them.
I`ve been in this mess before and both parties blameing each other!
It looks like i will have to wait the full 8 weeks before taking the matter further, which isnt that long away now!
After that i dont no what i will do?

If it's any comfort, I'm sure it's all going to work out. I reckon DVDBO are playing it down because they've a contract with their shipping agent and they can't do anything until the two months is up - it'll be Post Office regulations or something. As for the Royal Mail, you'll get results if you kick up a stink. I got an apology from my local delivery office over delays when there was a strike recently (precipitated by management). That was by complaining to the Post Office Users' Council. There's the new Postcomm watchdog you can complain to, and they have to take official complaints made through Customer Services seriously. You don't have to tell them what you were getting, just the prices, the fact they were separate packages (they'll have to treat each package as a separate claim) and how many there were. Use the phrase theft occasionally and if you don't get satisfaction, say you'll take it to the police. The police won't be enthusiastic about it, but if you make a formal complaint, they have to act as a crime (interference with Her Majesty's Mail) - which incidentally used to be a capital offence - has been committed. Rest assured, once the two months are up, the law is on your side and you can go ballistic with alacrity. Oh, and don't forget, you can still set your credit card on them.
