No truer statement. Alas, most consumers of porn think with thsir dicks, not their brains. Until that changes, you'll have (too) many producers/directors who are all dicks and no brains. Will it ever change? Nope. But, for the sake of throwing out a dream or two, I could only wish that there'll one day be a studio producing porn with genuine erotica aesthetics and cinematic photography akin to the old skool softcore genre which really had class. The thing is....most people in porn are not writers. Further, a non-zero percentage of the people (particularly the men) in the industry are into malice first and foremost, and that's especially true of a significant portion of the porn-buying audience. Lack of creative talent + an audience that largely wants mindless drivel that is usually about some degree of rape = banal, mindnumblingly stupid, by-the-numbers, gross-but-deeply-unsexual content.

To folks looking for a film that's all fun and games with a happy ending where everything lives happily ever after, this might not be for you. However, if you're looking for film dealing with serious issues, character development, relationships, and great acting, then you may wish to check this out. It's about a woman in an abusive marriage struggling to get out who develops a support network that helps her. Some sex scenes, though it's not mostly sex and not just the standard porn sex scenes.
If you're looking for something lighter and more of a comedy with a good story line that gets beyond the porn cliches, you may wish to check out "The Wedding."
