However, it would have to be up to the European members to begin many of these discussions as, at least in the beginning, the American members would be learning from your discussions and probably not be able to contribute much, except for asking questions. Click to expand As a European member, I would like to follow Bill's advice and start a series of discussions about European performers. I would like to do this in a way that all members, including the American members, could easily participate in the discussion. I think this can be done by posting pictures of European performers, who may not be very well known by American members. These pictures can serve two functions: 1) they can provide a visual introduction to the performers, to make identification a lot easier (sort of like Sbandoboy has done with his wonderful site) and 2) they can lead to discussions about the performers in question: do you like them, are they different from American performers and if so, in which way, etc. Let's start with an example. How many of you are familiar with a Ukranian girl called Julia Tchernei aka Julia Benvenuti, Julia Dobler and Julianne Rose? I am certain that a lot of you have seen her in at least 1 video or dvd. Not on my cards for Stories 22 or TXV 21, 25--are you sure? (Maybe the Report on Sweet Baby in TXV 21.) Took anal extremely well, especially for so small a girl. And those tits! Good idea, Walter. The other numbers in these series only refer to behind the scenes footage or "making of" segments. No new footage can be found there, except soft core. I have also included titles if she only can be seen during a reportage of the many Erotic Film Festivals, where she can be seen in the crowd on stage, for example. Michel Ricaud was very prolific between 1988 and 1993, when he was the house director of Video Marc Dorcel. According to the French magazine "Hot Video", he was the greatest French porn director ever. I don't know if this is true or not, but I have seen 28 of his videos and none of them were truely bad. I would say that most of them are above average and some of them are very good examples of the way plotted porn can be combined with strong sex scenes within a distinctive European or French style. It is said that he more or less laid the foundation for the house style of VMD: emphasis on upper class milieu, the seduction and sexual education of "innocent" or sexually inexperienced women, high class lingerie, and so on. These are some of his titles that are considered as classics in France: La ceinture de chastété , Les putes de l’autoroute , Délit de séduction , Constat d’adultère , La Vénus bleue , Indiscrétions d’Hotel , Souris d’Hotel and L’éducation d’Anna . If I would have to recommend just one, I would chose La Vénus bleue with Deborah Wells, Elodie Chérie, Chloe Des Lysses and Lydia (Julia) Chanel. He usually worked with a relatively well known cast or big stars, including many appearances by American stars such as Keisha (L’éducation d’Anna ), P.J. Sparxx (Elles voulaient être Star and Offertes à tout n° 3 ), Carolyn Monroe (Carolyn Super Star , Les Menteuses and Constat d’adultère ), Nina Hartley (Offertes à tout 1 , she does a rare anal scene in this one) and Lynn LeMay (Le tour de manie velle ). His favorite American star was without a doubt Tracey Adams, whom he used many times (in La ceinture de chastété , Les putes de l’autoroute , Viol au Téléphone , Elle préfère les vieux , Souris d’Hotel and La Femme en noir ). Deborah Wells has the lead role and Clark and Wells were romantically involved when the video was shot. A good Ricaud video without Christoph Clark is L'éducation d'Anna . The performers in this one are Philippe Soine, Yves Baillat, Siegfried and Dominque St. Clair (male performers) and Gyn Seng (aka Solange), Keisha, Joy Karin's and Marie Noelly. The story is centered around the sexual education of Gyn Seng; it is a variation of the "story of o", without the S.M. The VMD titles still have a light, often ironic touch. They are not really comedies but also are definitely not dark or heavy handed. They never take themselves seriously. And that is a good thing, imo. Are you sure about Zara Whites appearing in a Ricaud video? She hasn't in the 28 Ricaud videos I have seen. Of course, Ricaud has made somehere around 40 videos for VMD. Its a good way for us, euro fans, to discover new talent that we have never heard of. I have to admit, that even though most of the actress that I prefer are from Eastern Europe, my European porn knowledge is very limited because most of the movies I watch are producted by American companies. That is not very helpful information, since Kataline is a very common name for East European porn stars. Click to expand It's a good idea, and we talked a lot about French porn in this thread which was nice German porn gets discussed more often and that's a good thing, I feel it has something really different to offer. I'd really like to read/learn more about Italian and Spanish porn (and porn actresses) both of those countries have a healthy and productive porn industry and never seem to get mentioned on ADT.
