Hardware All-Star Member Your other left 14594 Posts 3/02	Posted - Aug 13 2005 : 6:25PM In Word 2003 for Windows the default options are to insert the page numbers into either the header or the footer. I'm not sure why using the header and/or footer is a problem for you, secluded Observer, but I think you'll have to go the manual route if you don't want to do it the M$ way. [Link]
oatmeal Meat Popsicle Seeking Beauty 1738 Posts 8/04	Posted - Aug 13 2005 : 7:25PM yes. 1) Click where you want the page number 2) Click on the Insert Menu 3) Click Field 4) Select Numbering under Categories 5) Select Page under Field Names (click options if you want to change the formate of the page numbers, alphabetical, roman, etc) 6) click OK 7) copy and paste the inserted field to wherever you want throughout the document (if the page number is showing the same number on multiple pages do a print preview to force word to recalculate the page numbers.) Click to expand I want to hang a longer document (of several pages) on a wall. The textflow should not be interupted by a header or a footer. Still the readers should be able to refer to a particular page. [Link]
