| danl Member 436 Posts 3/05 | this, of course, is a GREAT irritation to the MILLIONS of we men who get a sexual CHARGE seeing attracive, shapely porn stars smoking cigarettes in the context of explicit sex films. Should anyone doubt the enormity of our fetish, google "smoking glamour" and see for yourself the TRUTH of my statement. Its always been a major frustration to those of us in the "smokerhood' (our brotherhood of smoke fetishist) that we have about as good a chance seeing sexy women "light up: on the Disney Channel than in an adult film!!! What a HELL! of an indictment against an industry, which owes its very existence to the exploitation of "bad girl" imagery, of which a cigarette dangling from moist, luscious red lips is most definitely a part of that personna-- something, main-stream Hollywood directors have filmed for decades, but what, 99.999% of the "steam stream" directors out there have NEVER figured out???? |

| Walter All-Star Member 1445 Posts 3/05 | Levels of nicotine usage varies greatly with demographics. I have noticed this even more in recent years. It is interesting to observe this at work. |
| OC_AJ Member 70 Posts 12/07 | I saw the subject about "ANY NON-SMOKERS IN PORN" and I wanted let everyone know that I am also a non-smoker. My two siblings (older brother and an older sister) are both addicted to alcohol and drugs. I feel very sorry that people go through there battles with drugs, alcohol, or nicotine and not by choice. I am fortunate that I don't have any addictive traits. I want to be the healthiest I can be for the adult industry!!!! I LOVE WHAT I DO AND I WANT TO HAVE A LONG LASTING CAREER. | danl Member 436 Posts 3/05 | After all, since the vast majority of ADTers have been weaned since diaperhood that smoking was akin to an act of terrorism, what else could I expect than a plethora of "attaboys" to the original poster??? As a life-long non-smoker, I have always considered the smell of any man's cigarette smoke to be extremely offensive and nauseous. BUT, place that same cigarette between the lips or fingers of a gorgeous, well-built woman, and it becomes the "fragrance of the gods," for not thousands, but MILLIONS of we men. This is true, ESPECIALLY for those of us who grew up during the 50's and 60's when the glamour and sexuality of beautiful women constantly IGNITED Hollywood's Silver Screen, if you get my "smoke drift." BUT, we "old CODgers" aren't the only men turned on by sexy cigarette (NEVER cigar) smoking women. A quick trip to any of the myriad of smoke fetish forums on the internet---smokesigs.com for one--will reveal that a LOT of men in their 20's and 30's are being drawn into the FLAME of our fetish. Those same forums. incidentally, will tell you that the majority of we smoke fetishist are NOT turned on in the slightest by the sight of women smoking cigars, appearing more comical than sexy, "wrestling" with the bulk and shape of a cigar, NEVER intended to fit within the smaller mouth and fingers of most women. The many local and state ordinances, restrictions and other societal pressures against public smoking in America have only served to add to the ranks of our "smokerhood," (the coined term for our fetish) and the desire to see sexy women "light-up," cigarettes, both in real life and on film, has dramatically increased. Personally, I applaud non-smoking laws in restaurants, for the smell of cigarette smoke upsets my stomach when eating anything--except pussy--and therein, lies the RUB for the HUGE number of non-smoking smoke fetishists, who have ALWAYS associated our personal sexual encounters, as well as vicarious sex dreams, with attractive, well-built women smoking cigarettes--those "visions of blow jobs dancing in our heads,"-- a HELL! of a lot more appealing than sugar plums, I might add,and a scenario NEVER recreated by "clueless" adult film directors, I might add. In closing, and to understand the true "essence" of our fetish, remember the words of the father of the LOUSIEST president America has EVER endured, "Read my lips." Thus the sight of ANY attractive, well-built woman, dangling a looooong all-white cigarette in her sensual mouth, will ALWAYS be a special "turn-on" for MILLIONS of men---something, as I've posted MANY times, 99.99% of the main stream adult film producers and directors, (both feature films and gonzo), have NEVER understood, and thus, NEVER exploit.#########multiple curse words. |

| danl Member 436 Posts 3/05 | Since you asked, let me say that it is very difficult to explain anything about the smoking fetish to the individual who is not "one of us," but I'll try. To begin, much like another poster to this thread and a fellow fetishist (whoopee!), I honestly thought that I was weird being sexually turned on by the sight of good-looking, well-built women smoking cigarettes, especially being a non-smoker. In fact, until the advent of the internet, I had no idea that I was "not alone," and believe me, it was a big morale boost to find that a great many men, and even some women, shared my affliction. As a personal note, if you grew up during the 50's, and most of the 60's, sexy cigarette smoking women were seen in practically every venue you could name. College classrooms, movie theatres, sporting events, restaurants, airplanes, trains, buses, restaurants, television commercials, department stores, grocery stores, bars, even courtrooms, and of course, in well over 80% of all the Hollywood films produced, gorgeous female characters "ignited" my world. Thus, for me, it became a "visual" fetish and I give great credit to Hollywood for nurturing the smoking fetish, not only for me, but "thousands" of men in my age bracket. As we grew older and began to "sow our oats," we all had the saying that if "a girl smoked, she would screw," and frankly, found that to be true, so now, that "bad girl imagery" that Hollywood planted into our brain cells, became a reality. Our fetish, killbill, is not all about the visual, for there is a awful lot of the mental, and yet the smell of any cigarette wafting from the hands of any man or for that matter, any unattractive woman, is extremely nauseating to probably all of our "smokerhood." But, as I stressed previously, place that same cigarette between the lips and fingers of an attractive, shapely woman, and we become oblivious to any discomforting aroma. Now, about the sexuality of good-looking women smoking-- for us, its both a visual and an oral phenomenon and thus, a woman's lips becomes the visual center of our fetish, and in fact, although there are many types of smoke fetishist--some like the corks, others (me) the all whites, some holders (for me, never) and even some, the brown papered cigarettes (ugh)---every smoke fetishist, is "enamored" with the mouth of a beautiful woman, and finds it to be an extremely alluring erogenous zone. That is why, we are always searching for female smoking scenes, both in main stream and especially, what I call "steam" stream films, where that "bad girl" imagery, of "if they smoke, they'll screw, becomes "explicitly" true. killbill, I would guesstimate our fetish is about 60% visual and 40% mental, the mental being primarily those long dormant memories of "yesterdays," when beautiful, sexy cigarette smoking women were seen "everywhere" and believe me, they were a "feast to our eyes." As for the younger men enamored with sexy cigarette smoking women, I believe for them its more of the "rarity" of such sights that has captured their interest because there are so very few public places left to see good looking ladies "light-up," and outside of public buildings, DOES NOT (darn keyboard) give any of us "their jollies," as another poster mistakenly suggested, since far too many men and unattractive women are in "the mix" as well. That is why, I continue to fight this personal battle to try to convince the adult film directors out there to realize that there are indeed a "huge" number of we smoke fetishist who, each and every day, tirelessly probe through adult video store racks searching --in vain, I might add-- for scenes, incorporating cigarette smoking porn stars, both as sexy female characters in feature films and in set-up scenarios to gonzo productions, and, of course, in all candid behind the scenes segments. Jus wish I had more support here in this forum, but unfortunately, most of our smokerhood abandoned adult film forums in preference to the plethora of smoke fetish sites, having "given up" on the adult film industry long ago. |

In case anyone is wondering, I'm not turned on by smoking and I encourage people to take care of themselves and their health, but I don't want to pick on people who are addicted to smoking. |
| eddiehazelfan New Member 5 Posts 8/07 | I join danl in encouraging directors to include scenes of models smoking casually during BTS segments. That way you don't alienate the non-fetishists who don't care to see it during films but you also appeal to those of us who would get off on the activity...works better for me to see it IRL anyway. Someone who would automatically get my dollar for including smoking in his scenes is Brandon Iron, whose "50 to 1" series and Load My Mouth site would be a perfect place for smoking scenes IMO. |

[/quote] Actually, it would bug me. There are plenty of places to spy women smoking. The street. Smoking websites. Etc. Why should there be cross-over? I like the BTS segments. It's nice to see the girls being themselves. Without the dirty habit. Again, you can see women smoking anywhere. I like to see hot and healthy babes. |
| mariemadison Member 57 Posts 2/04 | As an adult film performer who smokes, I'm in the vast majority, but as a smoking fetishist, I find myself frustrated as you do with what seems to be a disappearing genre in adult entertainment - and yes, even in Hollywood. I think for Hollywood, the issue has been the widespread public loathing of smoking, and that films made in hollywood seem to be aimed at the widest demographic possible, and the sponsors don't want to piss anyone off. You did an excellent job explaining the smoking fetish, but it still only covers a portion of the audience - which you are also correct in saying is vast and wide, with a seemingly endless appetite for good smoking sex scenes. Like any other fetish, there are a million small sub fetishes, for example, there's a large audience who is attracted to the 'addiction' aspect of it, then there's lips, fingers, hands, and a whole sub culture of inhale and exhale fetishists. Which I personally believe is the real reason why the mainstream adult industry just doesn't seem to want to take this fetish on. A look at this month's "Specialty Top 75" in AVN Magazine has only 1 'Smoking' title on the list, which is an indication to me that 'mainstream' porn just isn't making them. A couple of years ago, I got to hang out with Joone for a couple of days and I asked him why there's no smoking fetish films in the Digital Playground catalog. He said "I don't understand the fetish, so I don't even try". And I commend him for that, because so many producers have gotten it wrong, which probably goes to explain why there's so few titles being produced. It takes more than a pretty girl getting fucked with a cigarette in her mouth to appeal to the true smoking fetishists and so if you miss that mark, you're left with the rest of the audience is who is repulsed by the film. So, I'd guess that the producers who jumped into the ring without a full knowledge of how to produce smoking sex, saw those titles slide down their reorder lists and just stopped making them all together. As a producer and a fetishist, I can attest that the demand hasn't gone down and in fact, it may have gone up. A full third of my over all revenue comes from my 'Smoke Junkies" brand and as this series gets ported over to newer digital delivery technologies, it keeps finding new audiences. I'm certain that the success of this brand is simply because I AM a smoking fetishist, and while my method of production is the super high tech process of just shooting what turns me on, I've managed to round up enough like minds to keep my lights and computers on. So, have faith my friend, there's still a few of us out here, but you may have to start looking a little deeper than 'The Valley' to find your fix. And if you do happen to come across some good ones, drop me a line! - Marie Madison Marie Madison's Smoke Junkies |

| danl Member 436 Posts 3/05 | As I've stated many times our "smokerhood" is a huge and ever-growing community, which has been totally ignored by erotic film producers and directors. In fact, I'll go one farther and state that our fetish has not only been ignored, but openly "discouraged" by everyone involved in making adult films. And its not because of some "grandiose" idea of keeping people healthy and fit, but to placate and "kow tow" to the anti-smoking AVN health freak Paul Fishbein, who crowned himself "Health Czar of Porn" years ago, and has used his magazine's editorials and reviews countless times to discourage both smoking in adult films and "bare back" (no condom) sex scenes---destroying much of my "fantasy world" in the process. Thus, producers and directors, ever-mindful of those coveted AVN award presentations, which can go a long way toward "making or breaking" a film financially, wouldn't dare put out a film scene that might upset "Payola Paul," and so they not only "grease his palm," but "kiss his ass" as well. ----especially come AVN Awards time. In recent years, however, the "pot-bellied potentate" has lost some of his "grip" on the adult film industry as his arrogant empire has finally started to crumble, with more and more people realizing just how sleazy the little creep really is---GWB-- So, who knows?" perhaps in the next decade, sexy cigarette-smoking female characters might be seen in porn feature film scenarios, as well as in gonzo and BTS segments---the fan base is out there I assure you and for everyone who opposes this wish, there are plenty in our "smokerhood" chomping at the bit, to enjoy such scenes. And, "getting our jollies" elsewhere (as some posters suggest) just WON"T DO!--darn keyboard again-- for few things are more erotic for us than to see a gorgeous, shapely woman's lips wrapped around a looooong all-white cigarette, and then later, view that same luscious mouth wrapped around some "upstanding" male member, or members---farther enhancing that "bad girl" imagery which (I thought??) all adult film directors seek to project. |

| danl Member 436 Posts 3/05 | But, the unknown pervert reply struck a "chord" which I must tune to re Paul Fishbein's lack of clout in the adult film industry today. Granted, the "Fish" does not have the number of "minion of minnows" swimming around in his cess pool as a few years ago, but he still makes a big "splash" in the adult film industry, especially come AVN awards time, which few can deny was born and nurtured (both rightly and wrongly) by his efforts, Thus, for decades the man called by some, "Pope Paul" (a moniker I always thought ironic for a Jew) using AVN film reviews, articles and awards, was in a position to "bless or damn forever" the destiny of various adult film productions. So don't think for a minute that Fishbein and his AVN minions did not have an impact in significantly reducing sexy female cigarette smoking scenarios from reaching my television screen, as well as (for me) much more erotic "bare backs." Since I have no idea the age of the unknown pervert, I can only surmise that he was not exposed to the "relentless" attack on both smoking in porn and sans condom scenes in film review after film review appearing in Fishbein's AVN magazine over the years. Gene Ross, when he was "Payola Paul's" principal whipping boy, even wrote editorials "flaming" (pun intended) women smoking in porn, when I wrote a letter to AVN requesting that erotic film directors incorporate sexy female cigarette smoking character roles in feature film plots, the way main stream Hollywood has done for decades. As I recall, Ross wrote sarcastically, "don't hold your breath on that (perhaps, another pun?) the majority of adult film directors and producers are not going to allow their film sets and property to be cluttered with cigarette butts and the stench of the smoke."---duh never heard of stage crew cleanups and ventilation systems, Gene?? But I don't fault Ross for this retort, because at the time, he was only doing the bidding of Fishbein, a man whose personal health and hygiene habits would do credit to the DNA of Howard Hughes, and NO ONE (darn keyboard) will dispute the fact that Paul Fishbein has crowned himself (as I stated before) the "Health Czar" of porn. To illustrate, I recall a conversation the late and great Savanah once told to me when I requested that she smoke her cigarettes whenever possible in future films---a request I make anytime I personally meet a female porn star. I stress female here, because I could care less if I see every male star in the business "light up" in their film scenes--something, most do, btw, but women smokers lacking the "spine" to buck anti-smoking directors, won't. Anyway, according to Savanah, as she began to light up a cigarette in the limousine in which her and Fishbein were on their way to some AVN event (I guess) the "little Napoleon (her words) yelled "one of those butts is going out the window." Now, if the unknown pervert had read all of my post, I stated Fishbein's power has waned considerably within the adult film industry in recent years, (in fact, the "Fish" has been forced to sell off much of his AVN interests just to keep his head above water). But, I still I contend a great deal of the residual effect of his, and AVN's steadfast attacks on female smoking and the lack of condoms in porn, REMAINS (darn keyboard, again) and that is what the "great" number of we smoke fetishist (google smoking glamour) and likewise, the large number of we men who do not what to see condoms and the spectre of aids and venereal disease within our fantasy world, are forced to endure!!! |
