I am interested if anyone knows of any DVDs that chronicle investigative style reports about the porn business? I was fascinated by MTV's "True Life: I'm a Porn Star" from '98-'99 and ABC's Primetime special with Belladonna last year. Are these or any other similar style programs available on DVD? I'd love to see that Bella special again.

Even better, are there any documentaries available? I loved "Porn Star" with Ron Jeremy. I don't really care for "based on a true story" stuff like Rated X, Wonderland, or Boogie Nights.

Too bad Luke Ford doesn't make DVDs. ;)

'Sex: The Annabel Chong Story' is a good, albeit very depressing doc on Chong's infamous gangbang. Very powerful stuff for many reasons.
There is also a John Holmes documentary out there somewhere. As well as numerous other docs on porn and porn stars.
Try looking on www.imdb.com. It might be a good idea to start with a star's name (Jenna Jameson is an obvious one) and see where it leads you.

Not sure what the title is, but didn't a British television station follow an English girl around as she was trying to break into the LA porn scene?

I'll second the "Sex, The Annabel Chong Story" disc. It is depressing though.

Yeah, I saw that documentary also, I think her name was Felicity, very cute girl. After seeing that documentary I bought two movies of her, one from Ben Dover and the other one from Big Omar. It was a very interesting documentary for sure especially the Max Hardcore part. I don't think the documentary is on DVD though.

The documentary about Stacy Valentine called "the Girl Next Door" is available on DVD, though it's not "controversial" as was mentioned in the original post.
