I wonder if anyone else has this problem, there are a handful of female stars who are sooo unattrtactive that their mere presence on a video makes it impossible to enjoy it, I was recently watching the latest Teenage Anal Princess and it was an awesome movie, yet 2 of the scenes were runied for me by the gerneral lack of attractiveness in the female talent, I know everyone likes differnt things, and I'm sure theres a market for skanky lookin chicks, but to me porn is an escape where I want to see beautiful girls...skanks are easy to find, if I wanted that I wouldnt need porn. So there are just a few actresses here and there,, that if I see them on a boxcover I pass, and I'm sure they arent that popular but I presume they are cheaper to hire, so my plea to the porn producers, if shes second rate looking dont hire her make the other scenes longer or spend a little more, and I might buy your video

I think you will always experience this in porn movies because the goal seems to be to offer a variety of female talent. At least that's what I have noticed. The goal is to appeal to as many people as possible with a title and maximize profits. What I have found is that my own tastes change over time and if I watch a porn flick I seen before, many times I like the other female stars just as much as the star I originally bought the movie to see.
from an asthetic standpoint girls who are young and already flabby and girls with scary faces dont do it for me, we had that in the 70s/80s, now I think the quality of actresses is quite high and theres less reason for "filler"
The way that the subject line is worded, no, there aren't any girls who can ruin a whole video. Only the scenes that they are in. I always give every scene a chance, especially if I've never seen that girl before, but if it's not doing anything for me after a few minutes, I start fast forwarding. Sometimes one scene can make the whole movie worth renting. Othertimes I'll get a DVD for one starlet, but another one that I'm less familiar with will steal the movie. But you've got to take the bad with the good.
One man's trash is another man's treasure. I usually buy a disc based on one or two girls so sometimes I come across girls that are extremely popular but do nothing for me.
I absolutely don't understand the obligatory use of 4-5 girls in every DVD. Why not a whole vid dedicated to 1 girl? I might actually start buying again if I could find 2 hours of, say, Aurora Jolie.
your going to hit a broader market with 6 different girls. I think most board users have a favorite, but the average consumer doesn't follow gals like we do. They want the vegas buffet

I too start fast forwarding when things look dull, its just that I do think some girls are just ...filler,dont tell me with all the beautiful talent out there you have to go with 3 gorgeous girls and 3 nasties, its like when you get a video and theres a few beautiful euro girls on the cover all with pretty faces creamy skin and toned bodies and then you watch and there are 2 scenes with flabby sanggled toothed tattooed chicks from brooklyn with huge piercings, yes variety is nice, but if I like steak dont feed me dog food in a can

I dont mind some of the girls beig skanky looking.As a matter of fact I kinda like the idea of a really hot looking girl with rather plain or even ugly one.I'm into opposites(fat girl with well built one,black with white,older woman with a young one,)I personally cant get into a scene any more unless theres at least 2 girls involved except in certain circumstances.having an ugly or adverage looking girl in there makes it more interesting to me.I think there's a lot of shock factor going on in porn and every other aspect of entertainment as far as that goes.Some times I like to see things that I say ughhhh aint no way I'd do that!maybe I'm just too Jaded.
As long as the girl looks healthy and clean, I am able to enjoy the scene even though she might be ugly.

I may watch porn, but I do have my standards... I'm jsut saying there are soo many stunningly beautiful girls out there now, its not like the 80s where you had only a handful of super hot performers, Amber and Ginger Lynn would have to do more than just look that good these days to get noticed. Tastes vary a lot... I think several of the "big names" are very average or even below average when it comes to attractiveness, while I worship others who I feel don't get enough credit at all.
The answer for me would be "no". Not that I haven't seen "unattractive" women in porn but they don't "ruin" a video or movie for me because I simply skip over their scenes and watch the girl(s) I bought or rented the movie for in the first place. There is one stand out in my mind as the the most unattractive woman/scene in a porn I've ever seen. She's been discussed here before. The scene and woman I'm talking about appears in MILTF 12. I'm not joking when I say I'd rather watch a graphic facelift percedure on the THE LEARNING CHANNEL or DISCOVERY CHANNEL than watch that scene. It's mostly the guys that are so ugly that I can't enjoy watching them fuck some hot, 19 year old. All I can think is: she deserves better. I know several female porn performers feel the same way. It makes working with these guys all the more distasteful. And, I believe it shows in the poor quality & chemistry in scenes over the past few years. Since IMO there are too many ugly guys to name, I won't. And, yes, there are a several of girls who I find very unattractive. So I just don't watch their scenes. I'm strictly a Girl-Next-Door type of guy, so the alt-porn look, the faux-glam look, or numerous tats all over her body are my turn offs.
I agree. Just skip through it. Although, maybe you should watch a little bit. You might be surprised. Last year, when my current porn fascination began and I didn't understand the importance of buying from certain companies, I watched a very, very low-budget DVD (80s sheets thrown over furniture, shot in a housing development). There was one girl - she was heavier, had that hard, crunchy gel hair, a nail fill-in that was at least 4 weeks overdue, - just the ugliest unkept thing I've ever had the displeasure of seeing naked. But the look of fucking giddy-glee when the strap-on came out. Her complete abandonment and absolute pleasure throughout the scene made her so watchable. By the end, I was very attracted to her skanky, chunky ass. So you never know. I was sure surprised.
Variety is great, a blonde a brunette big tits medium tits small tits, but good looking is the most imporant thing, dont give me a video with half hottties and half trailer park escapeees when I know you can hire all beautiful women, is the pay scale that different for beautiful women and the not so goodlooking?
When it comes to male talent I'll say there's at least one guy who comes to mind that I typically avoid his scenes because of his looks: Ron Jeremy. He just looks so bad these days and even more importantly, to me when Ron's in a scene it becomes a Ron Jeremy scene no matter who the girl is. I can't even really explain why that is but his presence seems to just overwhelm the scene. Personally, I find that annoying.
I don't like to name names, but I have to agree with you. But, to focus more on the topic, not individuals... Today's porn studs seeme to be recruited from the Hells' Angels or WTF. With few exceptions, they are the type of guys I'd cast in a knife fight, not a porn scene with Monique Alexander, Paulina James or Teagan. Worst still, many amateur sites on the web are starting to use guys with this same brutish look. Ugh!

I know Mark takes a lot of shit from fans these days, but the guy is a reliable performer--who's extremely professional on set, and doesn't abuse his female partners, like too many of the other male performers. Because of this Mark is on a lot of girls lists of who they will work with. Yes..I wish Mark would go to the gym. I remember the way he looked when he broke into the biz in the early 1990s, fucking blonde, bosomy Brit babe, Yvonne (of Shane & Seymour fame). He was one of the best looking guys in the biz; and was Jenteal's favorite fuck partner throughout her career at Vivid. dont call anyone hot or perfect until u see them in real life, when i got to the conventions, most of the hotties i loved looked haggard and cracked out. disapointment. the thing is no ones perfect, if someone hires the chick they obviously have a good quality, who u might see as a skank, i might see as a top notch babe. lets not post threads like this, it prolly makes the girls feel bad.
in the crack whores defense you can't imagine how demanding those conventions are, you normally have to be in make up at like 5am, you have to be at your booth for long hours (it's akin to a fast paced retail job in that you have to be smile, be understanding, meet odd demands but you also have to avoid weird things getting prodded into your cooter) you often have to go to parties after the convention hosted by who you sign for or fuck buyers, it's well worth the money and a great job but it is very demanding and can leave you haggard

thats so true i suppose they have higher standards being as they're fucking on film butt ass naked. i dont mean that all girls at the conventions look like shit, but you can def point out the ones that party a little too much. ive met girls like jenna haze that look just as beautiful and sexy in real life as on their films. Or Joanna Angel, or Belladonna. But anyways, there are some girls that dont float my boat, but its not up to us to ridicule them. I feel bad when someone posts horribly mean stuff about the girls. we all have to remember different strokes for different folks. im not attracted to jesse jane, but i would never call her ugly and slam her in a post. I think that all the porn girls have their own appeal to each different guy. variety is the spice of life.

thanks and I agree, I'm not here to pick on any girls who are willing to share themselves in an intimate way w/us, I'm just saying that physical fitness in these women and an attractive appearance are important, I am obviously willing to fast forward past things that don't particuarly appeal to me, theres just here and there folks that I dont think anyone would find appealing, and like the off key singer on American Idol, the directors should consider hiring better talent its like this Im no a big tattoo or piercing fan but in spite of this I find some performers with them super hot, becaus if shes pretty, fit and shes a great performer then variety is fine, the good news these days is the standards for porn can be high and I think thats great!
