I wanted to solicit the help of the ADT forum readers on the best way to find out a performers first title. Especially in porn, the actors and actresses work so much so quickly that it is hard to determine which DVD was their very first scene available to the viewing public. Think of it as I am trying to find an easy way to determine a performers “rookie” title. Any suggestions are welcome.

The only way to know for sure is from the girls themselves and half the time they don't even know what project they're working on. Can't go by release dates because companies like Anabolic hold onto footage for abnormal amounts of time and others are pressing their DVD's as fast as they can. Maybe the agency's could provide the most reliable info.

Good luck. As you say, they work so much so quickly, and then you have to add whatever delay takes place in the editing and post production. Some hold things 'in the can' and some relase quickly.

picman may have the answer, the performer, but the rest of his comment is applicable too.

Ed Powers used to have a radio show in Los Angeles and a couple of other markets. For the most part, he treats his ladies with dignity and respect. But....
He mentioned that he wants to be the first porn shoot with the ladies he films. Sometimes he is but other companies release her in a different film before his title hits the shelves. I have a big problem with this form of discrimination. Is it that a gal is 'used' after one video? No longer worth consideration? What's up with that shit? Complete BS in my humble opinion.

With Euro girls he is usually rather late if you include European releases in the calculation.
I think that the fact that someone is willing to put in an effort to find a performer's first scene is already a confirmation of that performer's 'worth' or one would't bother.

I would say that the attraction lies in the idea that the performers reactions are as 'authentic' as possible before routine kicks in.

For example, I am a fan of Hungarian cutie Suzy Sparks who has worked with Rocco, TT Boy etc in some pretty hard scenes. But in what I still think is her first scene, in one of Pierre Woodman's Private castings, she looks genuinely shocked when hardcore is mentioned. The whole drawn-out process of, apparently, convincing her to do it (using a Hungarian-French interpreter) makes it hotter when she finally does it. Far from detracting from her 'worth' as a performer, her first 'shy' scene and her later, high energy scenes compliment each other to boost her overall attractiveness to me.

One very reliable way of determining (i.e. dating) when a scene was made , as opposed to when it was released , is the 2257 date.

While the 2257 date cannot prove to a certainty the exact date one particular scene was shot, it can rule in or out scenes from one particular movie as compared to another.
In other words, such and such a scene cannot be as old as another scene based on the 2257 dates of the two movies.

Sometimes you will see multiple 2257 dates given for a movie. These are usually compilations or cumshot highlights movies. In this case, the 2257 dates will be of even less help. However, you can still draw very broad conclusions along the lines of "it's possible that this is an early scene for a given actress" or not.
Tracing the scenes back to the original movie and then determining the original movie's 2257 date can also help.

Also, you can often determine an actresses birthdate from online sources such as the IAFD, Eurobabe Index and, sometimes, actresses own websites and bios.
This can help you home in on what is "possible" based on her 18th birthday. Remember, this is just another way to help you focus your search. Many girls don't begin their porn careers the instant they become legal.

Finally, the "release date" is not the "2257 date."
You will usually have to view the source movie itself to learn the actual 2257 date (or ask here on ADT for someone who might have the movie and could check it for you).

You should be able to narrow your "first scene" possibilities down to a few choices and then start asking questions here and elsewhere.
Oh... and don't believe everything the girls say during movie Q & A and behind the scenes features
It may be the Gospel truth or total bullshit.
