Again, I find it quite ironic when people like you say this. You don't like the idea of a legal situation where an older man comes to pick up a legal aged girl but you do seem to support violence and possibly the death of someone who broke no law.

Well I guess that makes two of us. Most of the girls I end up banging from night clubs are usually 18-21. I love young girls.

Ask yourself.
Is it legal to shoot porn in any other state than California?
No, it's not.

The majority of society would not agree with that and I think you know it. I honestly don't care if this is what you like. I'm not judging you. The problem is (And I'm pretty sure we've had this conversation at least once before), many people will judge. And when they do, you know how people are. They won't judge just you. They'll judge everything that has anything to do with porn. If the shit ever hits the fan over this, everyone will pay the price for that portion of the porn base that likes it. Do you really think that people who only care about how something looks will make any distinctions about anything? If there's one thing in porn that has the potential to blow up into a massive stink, this is it.

But wait! According to others in various other threads and to hear performers when they are on talk shows, they are not actually having sex but putting on a fantasy. I say, what better way to live a fantasy than the barely legal babes.

^ I don't think this thread is about them being young (18). It's about them being depicted in a way that makes them appear much younger than they actually are.
It occurs to me that most 18 year old girls I've ever known didn't wear pigtails, plaid skirts and knee socks. Nor did they walk around sucking on giant lolipops. Most 18 year old girls want to look grown up so they dress and act like adults.
Again, this is not against the law but it doesn't look good.

Personally, that stuff turns me on. It doesn't happen with 18 year olds only. I see girls in their 20s look really young with pig tails and the other stuff. This is nothing new and I doubt some anti-porn lunatics will be able to do anything about it.
If the government has a right to send 18 year olds on the battlefield to get brutally killed, then there is no reason why 18 year olds shouldn't be allowed to look young and fresh while having sex on camera.

^ Why am I not surprised to see a brand-new poster joining to voice support of the OP's "creeped out" premise?
Personally, I say let's have more "older teacher/barely legal male" porn (with the boys made-up to look like high-school kids).
Never had teachers, looking like Julia Ann, fucking the "kids" back when I was in HS (class of '74).
And, I'm fucking pissed about it now!

To be honest, knowing that some people are creeped out by it makes it all even more exciting.
I say we need more of the Max Hardcore-type stuff with 18 year olds with pig tails, short school skirts, and other features of a young girl. MORE MORE MORE!

Max Hardcore is in jail right now HAHAHAHA! I always knew that guy was a creep. Read the whole thing about why he was put in prison. I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. The FBI at one point busted into his offices. Wow, the feds were really onto him lol.

I take back what I said earlier about having more Max Hardcore-type porn. I just watched an MH scene and it was absolutely disgusting. The girl was dressed like she was 14 or 15. He also did some incredibly twisted shit. I'm talking about the scene where Max picks up a blonde pig-tailed girl at the mall. She has tight little shorts and he takes her to the back of a van and pretty much does the most twisted shit imaginable. It was extremely disturbing when the girl was yelling "Daddy! Daddy!"
I'm personally glad this cocksucker is in jail. Porn does not need that kind of twisted crap.

It's not illegal either. It's one of those things where there's no law on the matter either way.
Also, porn is shot in states other than California. Nevada, Florida, New York, New Jersey, just to name a few. It's also been posted here that courts in New Hampshire have ruled it legal to shoot porn there.

I work on a college campus, so I get to interact with 18 year olds all day long. Once in a while I even get to hook up but usually its a 20-something chick, so I get to see first hand how wild these girls go upon being released from parental control into the awesome sinful world of college. A lot of parents today are overbearing and give their children very little flexibility while growing up, so they get to college and go absolutely apeshit and end up in Girls Gone Wild. My last girlfriend's (who was 21) two biggest role models are Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, and she had a thing for screwing authority figures which I totally took advantage of :). So of course I love the barely legal stuff and it doesn't bother me cause I know what sluts these young girls are nowadays, it also helps me have much more patience while helping really dumb sorority girls! Oh yeah and I'm about to turn 44, so I'm definitely a pervert!

I was not aware of New Hampshire.
And just because something is done doesn't make it legal. Joanna Angel has talked often of how the NYC cops love her and don't care about her shooting porn, but you get one politician with an agenda and it's over.
And that's all I have to say about that.

I remembered another thread that you might like: "...to depict or portray any person as a minor" all about a movie called Jailbait 6. It was quite a good movie for those of use that like 'em sweet and petite. Tanner, Lexi, Zeina, etc. But I would agree when they have chicks playing the pattycake clapping game and then getting lured away with a lollipop and then the toy blocks - well, even I said it was creepy. But they did have a group of girls play naked Twister. And that just can't be wrong by definition.

I never really enjoyed Max Hardcore videos, mostly because they are poorly made. Max comes off like a misogynistic creep, the action is poorly paced, and the setting looks like it is filmed in a pay-by-the-hour motel.
But the 18 year old/Barely Legal stuff never really bothers me. Most of the controversy regarding BL movies has to do with American prejudices about adolescent sexuality and the general prudery that Americans have about sex in general. Like most porn, it's nothing more than a fantasy that is being sold for people who get off on it.
I don't understand why people are worrying if some pedo gets off on it. A pedo will get off anyone who seems young enough, regardless of how a movie is labeled. Better this than actual molestation.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with you. What really makes me hate Max Hardcore is the fact that he pisses on girls and makes them vomit. Those are the obscenities that got him locked up in jail. I absolutely don't mind any high quality movies that have 18 year old girls getting fucked hard though.
Also, there was a study done that indicated that porn is actually lowering the amount of incidents of pedophiles going after minors.

I agree with some of the recent posters: I LOVE how Max dresses his girls, and I do like the way he talks to them... but why get them all dolled up just to wreck their makeup with spit and vomit is beyond me. And piss ain't my thing but I'm sure the golden folks love Max too. Either way, he dresses them well (sometimes). I love the frilly socks and the pig tails. I find it unfortunate that Max is the male talent, with his silly cowboy hat and the fact that he's like 60.
Even Ron Jeremy today is easier on the eyes than good ol' Max.
Personally I'm big on stockings/socks/legwarmers/knee highs and I like the mixture of stripper shoes and school girl socks.
It's not about "B/L" attributes folks it's about mixing PURITY with DEPRAVITY. Perhaps some of us have more complicated sexuality, maybe it's something else, I don't know. Just recently I was picking an outfit out for my wife (for some home fun) and I chose some 6 1/2" neon Yellow stripper platform heels (I'd donate money to pleaser shoes before I donated to Max Hardcore...) and some cute little socks with ruffles and a red bow on them... Sorry but if you don't get that, I think you're missing out!
I also like braces, my wife just got hers off and I actually looked to see if I could find fake ones to mix into our fun in the future... sadly it looks like an "ugly betty" costume is the only thing out there for fake braces and they don't look great. I used to love Fiona Cheeks, she is skinny, hot (great feet), blond and had nice teeth WITH braces.... but don't tell me she looked a day under 20. She didn't. But now, she has no braces, and for some insane reason she died her hair - now she has NO appeal to me.
Same thing with Kat, and I dread the day her braces come off. Kat is one of the best stars out there in my opinion and she continues to make great scenes. For me, braces indeed have an "innocence factor". But you're missing the point if you focus on that.... I want a dirty, nasty stripper, looking girl, who uses cum in her cereal instead of milk and likes to sleep with a cock in her mouth... yet who looks INNOCENT. It's the mixture of the devil and the angel, rolled into one-that's my IDEAL "porn star". That's my stance on it and there's nothing wrong with my sexuality.
Just because you don't get it hardly gives you a license to judge it or make assumptions about motivations or underlying desires. It may be complicated, but that doesn't make it illegal or unethical or a violation of community standards or anything else.

Possibly but the point is that reality is extremely fluid under these circumstances. It's not really about what you think it is. It's about what most people think it's about. All of the normal rules of reality change when sex is involved.

So since you can shoot porn in other states, how does the 16/17 year old legality issue work? If one of the areas where you can shoot porn legally has a legal consent age of 16 or 17, can you actually shoot porn of a girl that age?

I don't think it's creepy because I don't think it's creepy to be attracted to girls that would appear to be below 18 years of age.
Creepy is when a scene suggests non-consensuality, strong abuse, violence, basically simulated rape and people go out of their way to defend it as being on the spectrum of personal preferences rather than the spectrum of psychiatric disorders. But God forbid you are attracted to a 16-year old in the same way you are attracted to an older woman, that makes you a deranged pervert.
I'm not saying there's something inherently wrong with being into rape play, there's just a huge discrepancy between acceptance of these varying types of "barely legal" concepts... For some reason it is assumed that someone who's into girls who appear to be underage would necessarily go out of his way to rape them in the bushes whereas someone who watches simulated rape of adult women and calls it domination is really just "kinky".
The idea that 18 year old girls are old enough to know what they're getting into because they're 18 is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read on here. Of course they're not, it's just that nobody gives a shit because we like jerking off to them and we couldn't care less about who they are or why they need the money.
Enjoy your brainwash.

NO.
There is a national standard when it comes to porn.
Read up on 2257 regulations.
Here's a starting point.
Your legal age of consent question would pertain to private conduct between individuals.
There are countries where it is legal for girls under 18 to perform in porn.
HOWEVER, it is illegal to distribute these products in the United States.

As someone who works on a major college campus, I get to live the Wooderson dream from Dazed and Confused: I get another year older and the girls who come through campus stay the same age.
I don't have a problem with the Barely Legal: 18 is an artificial construct anyway, sexuality in nature should begin with their period.
I like the 18 year subgenre b/c it's the best way to catch girls while they are fresh, eager and a little naive: before the lobotomization sets in with ugly implants, garish tattoos and the usual run of the mill performances.
Now that said, I don't have kids but my brother has two girls in high school. And as they get cuter it's a littler disburbing that his youngest is a dead ringer for recent cutie Mia Lima and the other one looks just like a girl who did a few vids in the early part of this decade named Jackie Diaz.
So when they're lounging around the house in their bikinis and whatnot, I usually pick up a magazine and bury my nose it in it.

I was raised by a single father who dated and married girls as young as 19 years old well into his early 50s. When I was 27 years old he was dating a girl from Newport Beach who was a dead ringer for Aurora Snow. She was seven years younger than me. I had to act as if she was a maternal figure because that's how my father wanted all of his kids to treat his girlfriends and wives, no matter what age.
That being said, I think I really enjoy watching the 18-19 year old girls get fucked.
Do I feel creeped out watching, say Kara Novak? Or Piper Brady? Or early Teagan Presely. No fucking way. The only thing I feel is horny. How could any sane man get creeped out watching Teagan circa 2004? That shit is gold.
The only people who should be creeped out and made to feel anxious by BL porn are the ones who can't handle it, who sense that by watching an 18 year old girl get fucked that something is going to be released inside of them, and once it is, they will happily, if involuntarily (they will say), make their way towards the illegal stuff. If you feel creeped out watching BL shit, then you shouldn't, because you're sending yourself a warning signal.

It's actually not that ridiculous at all. There's nothing complicated about cause and effect thought processes. There is no real reason why an average 18 year old shouldn't be fully capable of doing this.
The problem is not their age. The problem is this society treating them as though they're never going to grow up and have to make tough choices with real consequences.
If you look around in the world, you will see 18 year olds who are sharper and who make (generally) better decisions than people twice their age. The obvious conclusion is that it's more a case by case type of thing but typically, the only obstacle any of them have is their own upbringing and education.
I think on average, young people probably make more mistakes because they don't have the scars the rest of us do to serve as a reminder of what bad choices can do to you. That's normal and everyone is going to make mistakes. What shall we do? Bar them from doing anything that could hurt them? How long shall we wait for them to grow up?

You're right that in theory an 18-year-old can be a very mature person. However, most of us don't grow up in environments where we have to take on huge responsibilities or make important decisions from a young age (which isn't inherently bad). So in practice, 18-year-olds are far from mature. What should be done, probably nothing because I couldn't possibly care less about what these people are doing with their lives, but that's just because I'm an asshole. Other people might have differing opinions.

Some people make terrible decisions at 18, some will continue making these terrible decisions for the rest of their life. Some people just don't understand consequences. Legally, you can't treat them like kids forever, so where do you draw the line and for what reason?

Let me tell you something. All of the 18 and 19 year old girls I've dated/one-night-standed were a hell of a lot more mature than any of the girls I've been with who were in their 20s/30s. I can say the same thing about 16 and 17 year old girls that I've talked to but I refuse to date girls that young even though it's legal in my state. I have to set a standard for myself.

It doesn't creep me out, but I don't really seek it out. I have a few of the Hustler "Barely Legal" DVDs just because I like the set-up (i.e. 4-5 scenes per disc, each with a different girl, and where the woman doesn't need much persuasion.) The girls in those, however, rarely look to me like they're actually 18, at least not in the ones I have. They look more like 22-25, at least.

What bothers me is that they may be being forced into something financially. Also I do think it is dangerous for companies and sites to present consentual B.D.S.M or just rough sex as if it were not consentual, with the selling point being that it kinda' may not be and as Gahndi said "Poverty is the worst form of violence."
Portrayal of the sex act should always be based on transparent consent, nothing else will do.
It is true however that if the age of consent is 16 (and it should be) even making an 18 only rule can seem like preaching (what if a sixteen year old flogs pictures of himself and his girlfriend together for instance? How can you say "Oh, that's wrong?"), what young people do is up to them (unless you want to consider doing porn like driving or the consumption of alcohol in some U.S states and make the legal age 21).

"forced into it financially"????? That makes no logical sense. If they want big money and they don't have other skills or education... they may very well have to do something like this. But it's still a CHOICE. They can go ACQUIRE more skills or education and get a different job. Porn Stars are not victims unless they choose to be. If they are not into this or not into that, why would they sign up for it? I have no sympathy for such indicated stupidity, and that's all it is.
If I hate people... should I be a salesman? No, perhaps an engineer :). And you cannot compare some 18 year old porn star wannabe to a repressed Indian peasant from 60 years ago... that's beyond a stretch. Throwing in a Gandhi quote does not add validity to an empty point.
You essentially say that we should only portray in porn what is legal in reality. That is quite a standard, I'd expect you to apply it to Hollywood mainstream also... oh wait, that would get rid of about 90% of movies. Porn is NOT about reality, it is about fantasy. And THAT is why fantastic things are legal in MOVIES (porn and otherwise) regardless of how illegal they are in reality.

I can see people have moved on from this thread but want to make my small contribution before we completely leave it behind.
It's interesting to know what creeps people out, but what really matters is what is legal, and therefore morally and ethically acceptable.
People enjoy all kinds of fantasies in their personal lives with willing partners, and for me what porn does is allow you to enjoy those and other fantasies alone - retaining the secure knowledge that whatever the fantasy, the actors are legally of age and willing participants who are not hurt by the experience.
I would be very happy if the only porn ever made consisted of petite 18 year old girls willingly submitting to being gangbanged by at least 10 powerful and controlling older guys. School uniform or another cute little outfit would be ideal. Think Amai Lui getting passed around a dozen guys, and pounded in all three holes for a good long while before getting drenched in cum. This will creep some people out, but I could enjoy it only in the secure knowledge that, despite appearances, she is 18 and also a willing participant. In the unlikely event that I had such an opportunity for real I would almost certainly not take it - because I could not be as sure of age and genuine willingness.
I do like some Max Hardcore material, with his very petite young women submitting 'naively' to hard anal in cute outfits. I don't like the puking, speculums and other extremes - it creeps me out but is still acceptable following what I and others have said.
The industry needs to keep ensuring that actors are old enough, willing and not damaged by the experience. Then we will continue to pay them so we can see our fantasies represented without causing harm to anyone.

Man..if you guys think everyone out there can make their employment choices free of duress you are clearly up your own arseholes. Look, is porn really only an industry or does it/can it act as a liberalising force within society? If sexual freedom is essentially what we are after then all duress should be removed from the system. As for saying that I am against the portrayal of forced, sex, BDSM etc. what rubbish! However a sense of social responsibility dictates that the true nature of the act should not be obscurred by those who would like to hide behind the camera (and their own dicks) and pretend for the sake of filthy lucre that what ain't is! You dig?
Edited by - Williamtheb on 12/16/2009 3:55:56 PM
Also, as we know from time to time the conservative establishment like to try and get their hands on one aspect or another of the industry, their "way in" is via issues concerning consent and portrayal.
