Tanner Mayes

Back in Tanner's heyday, I was her self-proclaimed biggest fan. Even if Tanner had a scene on a site I otherwise wasn't interested in, I'd still subscribe just to get that one scene.

I can't really explain what clicked for me when I saw Tanner, but something clicked. She's petite, which I'm drawn to, and I think it's also her girl-next-door innocence as well.

Tanner had a relatively successful career up until the last year or so, which has been well documented and doesn't need to be re-hashed here. The short version is that hard drugs caused her some difficulties. Sadly, in the last year or so of her career, she was like watching a train wreck.

I'll admit to some hypocrisy because during her last year or so, to presumably stay relevant in the industry, she started doing anal scenes. I have her anal scenes, because to see Tanner doing anal had always been a dream of mine.

To be fair, the industry didn't do Tanner any favours either. I think the most acute example of this is the infamous cell phone video. For those not familiar with it, Tanner is on a set and has either misplaced or (more likely) someone has hidden her cell phone, and she has a bit of a breakdown. It's filmed and was added to a DVD as part of the BTS footage. That was completely unnecessary. Tanner was a young woman and was clearly upset that she couldn't find her cell phone. There's nothing erotic about that. Filming that and making it publicly available was mean-spirited.

What got me thinking about Tanner is that yesterday, I was watching some of her early stuff, particularly from ALS Scan. I couldn't help but become infatuated all over again. For whatever reason, I didn't download Tanner's photos from ALS Scan, just her videos. That was a serious oversight on my part. I think I'll check to see if her scenes/photos are still available on the site, and if they are, I'll be compelled to rejoin just to get those.

Tanner had a bit of a comeback several years after leaving the industry. As much as I wanted to see her and watch her scenes, I couldn't bring myself to do that. Not only was she no longer the cute girl-next-door but sensing that her comeback was motivated more by desperation than anything else, I didn't watch any of her scenes. For me, Tanner will always be that cute, petite, innocent looking brunette.
