The only thing I've heard about PST is that some of the regulars tend to take themselves too seriously. Just a casual glance at their rules seems to reflect that (especially the no ridicule and no idle rules). A couple people I've talked to who have chatted there say that they seem to be a lot more focused on porn than our chat room tends to be (we talk about porn, but we also talk about a lot of things that have nothing to do with porn).

I have heard some less-than-pleasant stories from ex-PST regulars that make the room and its moderators sound like Nazi Germany. (I'm sure that some of the folks I have banned from our chat server and forum think I'm an asshole too. I can live with that.) Sometimes people don't get along. My time chatting at PST has always been pleasant.

PST was set up for the trading of images via IRC. Don't be surprised if someone tries sending you a file via DCC. As a rule I don't accept DCC files from anyone so it's a slight annoyance for me. It also takes forever and a day to connect to their server. Maybe it's the IRC network, maybe it's the server the room is hosted on. Whatever the case may be it has kept me away from PST for the past few months.

The channel is always open, and someone is almost always there.

They regularly post to RAME their lst of "recent visitors" -- this last week was:

Jenna Jameson, Gigi Appleton, Kiki d'Aire, Zoe, Roxanne Hall, Bianca Trump, Alexa Rae, Layla Jade, Delaney Daniels, Trinity, Kendra Jade, Keri Starr, Kaylynn, Alana Evans, Krista Leigh, Brittany O'Connell, Trey Hunter, Dirty Bob, Jim Gunn, Mike South, JJ Michaels, James DiGiorgio, Van Damage, and Dave Cummings.

Most of those folks can be regularly found on the chat.

I've never had a problem connecting with their server -- I use mIRC and connect to irc.beyondirc.com with speedy results. I don't know how well their Java client at their site performs.

As far as being "little Hitlers" and whatnot; anyone thrown out of a group is not going to speak well of the group -- I don't susepct VCARules is spouting platitudes about this joint... ;-)

They're worth stopping by; but keep in mind you're visiting their house. Like you'd be "insulted" if they came in here and tried to run the place, follow the golden rule. Eventually, once you've been there a while, you can get smart mouthed like the rest of 'em. ;-)

Also, the conversation doesn't always stick around porn -- on any given night you'll catch me and Darth Whack talking Visual Basic routines, a lot of sports talk, and some porn thrown in for good measure. :-)

I always found them okay and friendly.

The only time they showed any anger was when certain subjects came up. Namely, people stealing their caps ("video-captures"), people renaming files, and worst of all, people who only wanted to get pics and never give.

Made sense to me.
