Sadly visual quality of a scene shot 30 years ago on video is likely never going to be more than average looking even if it was digitized early on which it likely was not. That said. I think you and I don't care as much about the visual quality if the action is top notch and since this is early Max before he started to shoot porn that I can't enjoy than it should be a great scene.

I don't know Max's work all that well, but I do know that in several scenes, and maybe in many more than that, he did something unusual. He had the model in piledriver position and then inserted a speculum in her ass to dilate it. He then peed into her ass. Once her colon was full (with the speculum still in place), Max would stick a narrow rubber tube in the model's ass and then hand the other end to her with the instructions to suck his pee out of her own ass.

On rarer occasions, in scenes where Max was working with two models, he would do this with one of the models and then have the other one suck the pee out.

I'm surprised that you wouldn't have guessed that Max would have come up with this depravity on his own.

I should note that there were usually two versions of Max's movies available: American and European. The American versions had golden showers and barfing edited out. Fuzzy, I agree with you that it was probably Max who paved the way for other sites to openly offer these acts in readily available scenes now.

I realize that Max's work is polarizing and while I was and still am a fan, there are still things in his scenes I can't support. For example, the degradation in Max's scenes feels different from degradation you'll see in professional BDSM shoots with studios such as Kink. My suspicion is the big difference is that with Max, the degradation wasn't discussed with the model before the scene, whereas with Kink, the scene is fully briefed before the cameras are turned on.

As for Max doing a stint in prison, I think that was a witch hunt. Max pushed the envelope and drew the ire of right-wing Christian groups and the politicians who did their bidding. My recollection is that to secure a conviction, federal prosecutors needed to go forum shopping to find a jurisdiction where they could pack a jury with a bunch of right-wing moralizing Christians who were more likely to convict. I don't know for sure, but I think this ability to go forum shopping may be unique to the American justice system. My recollection is that the FBI did this with Tommy Chong as well to secure a conviction against him for shipping drug paraphernalia (bongs) to areas of the US dominated by right-wing Christians and the politicians who serve them.

The reason I mention this is because something happens that I've never seen in porn before. Late in the scene, Max has Alice in piledriver on a chair. (I think I have the US version because there appears to be an edit and I suspect that the European version has Max peeing into Alice's ass.) I suspect that if I asked a porn collector with some familiarity with Max and asked that person to guess who poured motor oil into a model's ass while it was opened with a speculum, that most people would guess correctly. Who else would do this?

^^Except for a few older women. Max primarily worked with young women but seeing as he started doing porn when he was in his mid 30's than most performers would have been younger than him anyway. Where Max pushed the envelope is in the way he chose to dress those women. Max taste in clothes, makeup and dialogue tended to create the illusion that the legal performer was playing a much younger women. In fact I would argue that he often made them act like pre-teens which while starring legal age individuals could be an issue and it likely lead to him getting accused and sentenced for creating obscene material.

I think I heard somewhere that the site is now (after his death) run by his former companion, but Idk. From what I can tell when I take a look now the site seems to be the same, but does not publish or re-edit any new stuff, but rely on the old catalogue.

The site is badly laid out. There is a series of tags:

These are generally meaningless because it appears that some scenes are available across multiple tags. To give one example, Max shot one scene with Taylor Rain, and I suspect that's on this site at least a dozen times. Unfortunately, what I don't know is whether one or more of those uploads has been remastered so that it would look much better than in the original resolution.

Something else you can notice from that screenshot is that once you are behind the paywall, all the free previews are still available. That's annoying. Each page has 20 thumbnails on it and the number of free previews on each page ranges from between approximately 8 and 12. Your thoughts may be different, but I don't need the free previews because I'm behind the paywall and want to see the full scenes. I can't find a way to sort to get rid of those previews and I suspect that there isn't an option to do that.

While there are a lot of scenes here (over 1600 but some may be duplicates), it isn't the full Max catalogue. There were scenes I was hoping to see that don't seem to be here.

I started this thread by mentioning I was thinking of joining this site just to see one scene that Max shot with Tammi Ann. Mission accomplished because I got to watch that scene again and while it is in its original resolution, it is still miles better than the version I have which was copied from a worn-out VHS decades ago. Also, I got to watch another scene with Tammi Ann that I had never seen before. And when I started thinking about some of my favourite Max scenes from his early days, I was able to find some of those scenes as well.

Something else on the site that I was unfamiliar with are the scenes that Max shot during his comeback. These are easily identifiable because the models are newer (Kacie Castle and Tara Ashley, for example) but mostly because Max uses a dildo. I recall reading somewhere that due to health problems, Max couldn't get an erection in his later years, so he kept his clothes on and had a dildo sticking out. It's absurd. Those are as bad as I expected them to be but given that I've never seen any of them, at least seeing them as a novelty was an option.

The site is badly organized with the scenes just being randomly placed. If the site owners took any care about cataloguing Max's work, my preference would be that they sort the scenes by the movie titles they were originally in. That's not done here. A couple of the tags on the left of the screen are labelled as a couple of different series, but I'm not confident that's accurate.

Also, another minor flaw is that many of the scenes are uploaded in two parts. That's not a big deal because Parts 1 and 2 are usually side-by-side.

As Videofan mentioned, some scenes have been remastered and they look surprisingly good. While there is a tab for the remastered scenes, I'm not confident it's accurate because I did find some lower resolution scenes in there.

If anyone shares my interest in seeing some "classic" Max, I found that clicking on the "Remastered" tab on the left and then clicking through to the oldest videos under that tab seemed to work. I found a lot of his scenes back when he started working with other studios before going out on his own.

Also, while I couldn't do a deep dive in the site, it appears that a lot of the European versions are available here for those interested in them. I can't say for certain whether the American versions are also available, but they may be given that there is so much duplication across the site.

And speaking of duplication, because it appears that some scenes are uploaded in multiple places, I can't give an accurate account for how many scenes are available. But I can say that there are a lot. Likely thousands.

So overall, I'm satisfied. I wish downloads were available, but it is what it is. Given that I signed up using the two-day trial and it bills through CC Bill, I'm happy. I'll watch a few more scenes and cancel the trial membership before it converts into a monthly subscription. If I ever get the urge to watch more Max Hardcore, I can sign up for another trial.

By the time anyone reads this, I've likely cancelled my two-day trial but if anyone has any questions, I might be able to answer them from memory.

Not that this is relevant, but the one scene I wanted to see has a weird edit, and unfortunately, it edits out a line that really makes the scene work for me. In the original, Tammi is sitting on a chair on the pool deck and Max goes down on her. That is edited out. And when Max finishes going down on Tammi he tells her that the next part of the audition is to suck his cock for all she's worth. Tammi giggles and they switch places. This is mere speculation, but maybe Max actually giving pleasure to his partner was seen as something not in keeping with his later scenes so it was edited out. Odd though, and disappointing.

Again, this was 3-4 years ago. If they ever put new HQ scenes on the site I would join again to download them, but it looks like there have been no new scenes posted since 2023.
