I guess that's common for most internet forums, but most don't really want the world to know you're watching hardcore porn or that you might have some very specific fetishes. Or that you dabble in some experimental stuff that defies labels. Groups of people with the same interests and views also tend to reinforce each other. On ADT we take porn for granted as a part of our lives and we are happy to discuss movies, fantasies and thoughts about the industry, but only with each other. So my question is: What if anything have you gained from discussing porn with people who are much less familiar with it than ADTers? Any actual valuable insights that you hadn't thought of? Or just the old prejudices and denouncements (some of which might be interesting)? [Link] |

I don't think any of the conversations ever went far beyond an acknowledgment of viewing porn. It gets a little awkward if you get into too much detail with someone you're not intimate with. It's not that I was ever that shy about it. Rather, I think some people would be very offended if I just started going into graphic detail. |

I brought "Buttman Goes To Budapest" to one of our parties one time and had it going in the living room the whole time. This was 2000ish, I think. My friends thought that Buttman was a crazy name and found that odder than me bringing a backpack full of porn to a party. I didn't care. That was before I drank anyways. Fast forward a few years and I'd be at a party at the same house walking around shitfaced hitting on chicks. Never worked and I didn't even bring porn then. |

They think it is pretty cool to meet the people in the industry and they find some dicussions I have about the industry to be interesting. As most people I know say "Big deal, they are just acting out sex scenes." |
