Anyway, I might spend an hour flipping through the good parts in the store sometime, but I'm not up for spending $23. Just wondering if anyone here checked it out. [Link] |

I think it's great she was able to move on with her life and find some success -- and wish I hadn't given away my dubbed copy of "The Grafenberg Spot," where she does a RonK-approved scene with Harry Reems and Rick Savage that, at the time, sent my head spinning. |

And as has been noted, the porn days go by in a flash, and there's no insider dish-type stuff. Jerry Butler's book was much better in this regard. I suppose her point is that porn was a brief part of her life, even if it was the most significant one. As far as that goes, her account of her childhood and the forces that swept her into the mess she got into is believable to me. It's not a pretty story, but you knew that: obviously something went drastically wrong with her life, whether her version is exactly correct or not. On that mark... why is Jim South referred to as "Tim North"? If it's her biography and it's true, is there any legal peril in naming names? Perhaps there is, but things like that undermine your confidence in the narrative. And an anecdote about having sex with Tom Byron but not knowing it was being filmed is ludicrous. Still, if people were afraid that it'd be virulently anti-porn, I didn't get that vibe, really. But the bottom line is, if you were thinking about picking this up, buy a DVD instead. Next waste of time on the agenda: Christy Canyon's book. |
