Yes, I've seen it and I own it. It's actually not lame at all. It's extremely hot, if you like the new underground alternative look. In other words if you like girls with a goth/punk/emo look like suicidegirls.com, you will like this. If you like regular hardcore gonzo, this might not be for you. I like both styles. The director Eon Mckai takes a very artistic approach and is definitely trying to market to a new and younger generation of porn fans. That being said, IMHO the first two scenes are the hottest. The first features Veronica Jett and Kurt Lockwood and the second features Katrina Kraven and James Dean. I would suggest renting it first before buying it to see if you like it. If you do like alt porn styles I would suggest checking out Eon Mckai's first movie, "Art School Sluts" and the new "Kill Girl Kill 2". There is also another director named Jack The Zipper who makes a series called Stuntgirl. His style is a little faster with the edits and crazy scene changes, but it's very underground and has a great look. This was probably more info than you needed, but no one ever talks about alt porn on this forum, so I thought I'd fill you in.
This is an entirely fresh take on porn...its gonna take at least 2 years to train your eye to what Eon Mckai is making...but this is in my opinion where porn is heading.
Adult is stale at times and usually about 10 years behind, style-wise :) I love a lot of stuff that people put out (Evil Angel is Jesus to me, Red Light, and others), but I think things are changing.
I am biased, but I agree with you. Porn tends to be behind the times in most style-facets. Maybe one day it will make a volte-face; until then I'll just keep being me.
All respects to Eon but this NOT "an entirely fresh take on porn" --the punk/post-punk thing was done JUST like this at early to mid-period Extreme Associates. I say it's a style worth continuing & more power to him, but Good Lord easy on the hyperbole.
Its all about reinvention though (sorry to sound so post modern) remember these guys are not taking the path of least resistance, they are going against the norm. Nothing is new..its all been done...but who else today would dare to make the movies Eon makes? It doesnt fit in...and thats where its strength is. Its so easy to put it down...but why would anyone want to do that? I'm being supportive and positive..thats not Hyperbole. your reply is a thinly veiled criticism.
I'm reviewing it now.....it reminds me a lot of the stuff that Rob Black used to do and somewhat of the stuff DAC does minus the really good sex of course. That's where it's falling short for me so far.
Interesting movie and it's well shot. I just happen to believe that if a movie is going to be interesting it should also be hot (Fashionistas anyone?) Otherwise, hot kicks interesting's ass every time.
I need a good Mike John movie with a hot cast to balance things out.
Finished the review late last night. Interesting flick, very nicely made with unique women, but I wouldn't say it was anything special. Review of Kill Girl Kill
My only critique is that this is an early film by eon and ive seen him compared to people thats been in the industry for years....which is an unfair comparison. He has room to grow. (im not a young kid..but im wondering if theres gonna be an age gap in porn...just like music?) just a question no malice behind it.....
Thanks. You flatter me. I hope that people have read the full review and realize that I LIKE porn that brings more to the table than just good sex. Couch porn is couch porn and if someone can take it to the next level then I'm ready to drive the bandwagon. I just think, and again it's just one guy talking...that this one didn't take care of the sex. I had the same problem with many of Ninn's movies, with the Rob Black stuff etc.... What I am looking for (and what I think you're looking for) is really tough. I thought that Sal Genoa did a lot with Artcore from Anabolic. The sex just didn't turn me on that much because it was more on the side-show level than I like.
KGK is very good movie and perhaps I am expecting more because parts of it are so impressive.
At any rate I would like to see people continue to try and move porn to the next level.
Finding the balance is tough indeed. Not everyone is John Stagliano or John Leslie :-)
