Of course, I'm well aware of AT&T's 3G "coverage". Still, part-time 3G is better than none at all. If you already own the iPhone 3G, there really isn't a whole lot of incentive to buy the new phone. Video recording and a bigger hard drive are not reasons enough to drop another $300. |

Gotta see how the finances go with school and bills and stuff first. I think we're supposed to get a bonus at work this week, so who knows... |

Normally I'd go with better software but I can't stand Apple's & AT&T's grip on the phones - if I buy it I expect to be able to do with it as I please. As for tethering there is an app on the N95 8GB that I can use to turn the phone into a wireless hotspot. Tethering over 802.11 to multiple clients works. |
| LubeNLuv Senior Member 1854 Posts 3/06 | Yes, I pay an extra fee per month of $60. But it is worth it to me. Tethering was OK for occasional "I've got lots of time to kill here, may as well set it up" type of use. I also had issues with tethering and being able to talk on phone at the same time. So as an iPhone user, I won't use tethering even if offered. And I certainly won't pay extra to use it...although I've heard rumors of ridiculous pricing schemes from AT&T to sign up for this feature. |
