The seller(dvds4usa) is Canadian, in fact most of the sellers on ebay selling these dvds cheap(they list 'em starting at $13!)are Canadian. But i just (out of curiosity) clicked on one of the more expensive listings(starting at $22 for the same titles) by a US seller, and saw this note on the auction page: "DON’T BE TRICKED INTO BUYING THE CHEAPER CANADIAN VERSION OF THIS RELEASE. THOSE DVDS ARE NOT THE COMPLETE “USA” VERSION. SECTIONS OF THE DVD HAVE BEEN EDITED TO MEET CANADIAN LAWS." Say it ain't so! :-( 'cause if this is true i'm screwed, i just paid these ppl a crapload of $ for cut dvds! Someone please confirm this, oooooooh i hope its not true :-(.  [Link] |

If I'm not mistaken there is some sort of Canadian film board that has to clear all adult releases. I know that we've had problems with some of our flick trailers being too far over the edge for them and it caused some problems. They ended up having to be removed before they could be released.

I myself have bought some Euro and American version of various titles up here through different sources, some stuff you won't even find in US. If I was in your place, I would just buy one from that seller on Ebay and see if it's cut or not, then I would consider buying more. peter [Link] |

| cultshock Member 36 Posts 1/03 | Posted - May 6 2003 : 2:13AM I can't speak for the rest of Canada, but as someone who has been in the video business, on and off, in Ontario, the rules here have relaxed quite a bit over the past ten years. Things tend to still be kind of haphazard though. The big bugaboo here, is anything involving "degradation", but that really is open to interpretation (it used to include facials and DPs, but no more). What it comes down to, as other posters have stated, some Canadian releases are identical to the US releases and some are cut to varying degrees, and there is often no real rhyme or reason to the cuts. You just gotta do a little research. Sometimes its worth it though, as alot of our DVDs are cheaper. [Link] |

The first time was Un-natural Sex 7 and that was fine, but I got Weapons Of Ass Destruction and it was totally butchered plus it had terrible picture quality. Thankfully he was nice enough to give me a refund so I sent it back. I know that the Canadian site www.adultdvdboxoffice.com advertises that all their adult DVDs are uncut and I've bought from them before.
