There have been problems with discs from two replicators that Evil Angel used between late 1999 & 2002. There is currently a thread in the Tech Talk forum where Tricia Devereaux is asking for information from people who own Evil Angel DVD's from this time period.

If you've had problem with some EA titles, not only should you comment in the Tech Talk thread, I would suggest that you also contact Tricia Devereaux via e-mail.

Sharpeye, it might be helpful in the future to list the DVDs you have problems with rather than just asking if people have had problems with discs from a company. It's also good to mention what you're using to play the DVDs on as many companies read the forums and might be able to tell you right away if there have been problems with the discs you're watching or what you're playing them on.

I've already e-mail Tricia Devereaux, I'm wondering if Evil Angel was aware that their disc were flawed and continued to distributed them and Internet vendors and store continued to sell them. Why didn't Evil Angel recalled the defective disc? If this is a problem that Evil Angel was aware of in 2002 they should have pulled their disc off the shelfs,
not taking any action on Evil Angel part other then changing duplicator, means class action lawsuit

Making this one redundant, so I'm locking it.

Its not the dvd players ( Aiwa, Panasonic ), I own approximately 1300 dvds ( MGM, Etreme Associates, Warner Bros, etc) this problem only exist with Evil Angel dvds. In the last 2 days I tested 7 dvds purchased from Evil Angel in the last 6 months to 2 years, 6 out of the 7 were defective, and it only with Evil Angel dvds. I'm told by Tricia Devereaux that it has something to do with the duplicator they used between 2000- 2002. This to me, mean they had ample opportunity to recalled the defective dvds.
With approximately 200 Evil Angel titles in my collection I'm extremely pissed!!!!
