Generally referred to as the "Golden Age of Porn." I certainly hope this is a trend on the upswing. I suspect it is a reaction to the current recession. As such, the end of the recession will probably mark the end of bringing back the "oldies." The good news is that this recession doesn't show much sign of ending soon. .Can one hope that once again we'll get to view those hundreds of OOP films with actresses like Annette Haven, Veronica Hart,Andrea True, Bidgette Monet, Juliet Anderson, Desiree Cousteau, Georgina Spelvin, Amber Lynn, Karen Summer, Gina Carrera, Loni Sanders, Shanna McCullough, Kristara Barrington, Lisa De Leeuw, Honey Wilder, Janey Robbins, Kay Parker, ... My theory is that younger generations are discovering these films in much the same way as old bands and mainstream movies. The films are also just better in general, so it should be no surprise that there is a steady demand. Also, the Video-X-Pix Platinum Elite line, re-releasing classics with awesome extras and gifts, are a true blessing. I sincerely hope they're selling well, and that they continue the line (hopefully upping the amount of films they do). [Link] |
