I ask beacause most people on this seem intelligent and capable of seducing beautiful hot young women but instead dedicate thier time to talking about this shite and discussing the merits of such a pornstat or movie when they could be out there talking/seducing these women. I have absolutely NOTHING against the porn industry but Jesus I could name check at least 10 characters on this who know EVERYTHING about the last few pornos to come outta Californa in the last year and it just seems fucked up to me.I think this industry takes advantage of shy/reclusive and depressed (although intelligent) men in that in sucks them into a world of beautiful women that they can communicate to and such on these forums but NEVER really have and thats just fucked up to me. Personally I'm going to throw away the porn I have built up over the years; it's unhealthy and addiction building and being a intelligent man I think it's become a crutch I use instead of meeting hot women. First of all, many of them are already in monogomous relationships. And of those that are not, many simply won't be attracted to the guy who is pursuing her. Some guys aren't very attractive. Some guys have awkward personalities. Some guys don't dress very well or know how to present themselves properly. Some guys don't take rejection well, and after going through it again and again, they just give up on women. I think what a lot of guys need to start doing is lowering their beauty standards a bit. Too many guys, especially those who watch a lot of porn, aren't interested in finding a decently attractive looking woman. They want a woman who looks like Monica Sweetheart or Angel Dark. And they expect her to be a freak in bed who wants to fuck you and only you all the time. Not likely. So I think if someone wants to leave their porn collection behind to find someone in real life, there should be less emphasis placed on "hot" and "beautiful", and more emphasis should be placed on finding someone with a pleasant personality, compatible beliefs and mutual respect. These are the ingredients in a healthy, happy relationship. And although one night stands can be fun, the best sex seems to happen when both people are in a trusting and caring long term relationship. [Link] |

I never once thought "Hey these are the standards in women I am going to go by" There is a line between fantasy and reality. Some may blur those lines, but some won't. You get those who are obsessed with wantching The Hills on MTV and then going out to the actual world and wanting some chicks that look like those on the show. You're going to have bad apples in every bunch.Maybe back when it was considered taboo to watch porn or even illegal the shy/reclusive type of person watched mostly, but now porn is socially acceptable in current times. Many couples watch them now and what I would say that many people have spiced up thier sex life by watching porn, because of the different positions etc. Sex toys have become a huge market, very lucrative and all in part because of porn. So your judgement is quite flawed for sure. I collect my porn movies the same way as my Hollywood movies, based on who is in them. It is fantasy and I leave it at that. Now in 2006 (yes i realize not the same year, but I have things to do!) the US adult entertainment industry made $13.33 billion dollars. World wide $96 billion was made by the adult film industry. Considering adult material is not advertised like movies are, or sold everywhere you go its respectable the amount of money porn pulls in. Taxes are made off it just like any other thing that makes money. Regaurdless of that factor (don't forget a lot of people don't pay for porn) its just a very crude statistic that shows you a LOT more people than you think view porn to some extrent- all that money is not coming from someone that can cite a few pornstar names. It's coming from the baker down the street, or the sad mime on the side of the road...or many people who are maried, single, and yes actively dating real hot women. But whatever.
