| williamtheb Member 17 Posts 7/09 | Hi guys! Thought I'd start this thread with a question..from gonzo street to studio (apart from one or two exceptions) the facial still ends the scene why? Though an amateur lover I still ask myself the question is this all "art for art's sake and money for porn's sake"? By which I mean that double internal d.p cumshots (and I mean deep internal not the disappointing semi-plugged ooze some studios specialise in) are hardly available with close-ups, multiple partner loading is still rare and good orgasms often absent (get the chick off for f**ks sake). I do believe this is partly the industries doing by it's attitude to cock generally, male pornstars are have become eunuchs by self-denial,, for goodness sake if you like double anal there is more than one reason for that..keeps 'em rich though..think about it. Check out www.yesyesyes.org (and I might mention www.aidsbuzz.org aswel). The spectre of A.I.D.S haunts us all but I tend to think the industry creates it's own problems, honesty is the best policy n'est pas? The drive for ever younger and younger girls can use up good performers before they have reached maturity (if nothing else a waste). The search for honesty promotes integrity of performance. I used to posses a copy of a Euro/German flick (correct me if I'm wrong), which to me was arguably a work of art (as we commonly understand it),"Rocco Never Dies" is not a bad movie either nether is "Sex". If someone can tell me the name of this Bacchanalian fantasy (a costume drama with horns and devils and angels and horns..) I would be grateful. As to why sex in porno always ends with a cumshot, I could say that sex EVERYWHERE ends with a cumshot. But I know what you mean. Why must we see the cum, right? Beats me, but most guys do. Porn is visual sexual stimulation (save for those lucky lucky few who have someone to share it with). It is vicarious, meaning of course watching sex to aid in imagining that one is having sex. For some reason, most people have trouble cumming if they can't see cumming on the screen. If the guy just lays their and cums inside, there's no verification for the viewer and so no climax. I could write odes to the facial and 'oral creampie.' What a delicious turn-on: imagining a beautiful woman so anxious to please that she sucks your cock with loving looks until it squirts all over her face as she smiles, happy that she has pleased you. It may be the ultimate act of a woman showing she cares for you; doing something that may have little or no benefit for herself, but just because she knows it makes you feel good. How could you doubt the affection of a woman who wants to suck you off? Maybe that doesn't get YOU going, but it gets most of us hot, and it has, probably, since day one. Check out the ancient Hindu temples in India, frescoes in Pompei and ancient Egypt. You're in for some hard looking for porn without the cumshot. That's why it's called "the Money Shot". |

It's the one the camera's always pointed at." When the male talent's name is bigger on the box than the female talent - there's a real point to be made. Who is the intended audience of the movie? Do dudes really want to see the growling, snarling face of some other dude, while he's gruning at the camera? Do dudes really want to see close ups of another dude's balls danging in front of the lens, or his man jizz blown all over the place? Or do dudes just want to see chicks having a good time? - Mark |
| williamtheb Member 17 Posts 7/09 | Got to realise that it is the chick's scene too (in the broadest sense) as long as we keep it that way everyone is happy. The point is to "push the envelope" but as true S&M devotees will tell you it is the psychological journey that is more important. The kind of scenes where a certain level of intimacy are achieved are always better. The remoteness of the fabled "Money Shot" is indicative of the remoteness of the viewer to the action (in all senses), appearance it seems, is all. | williamtheb Member 17 Posts 7/09 | Yeah and that movie may have had "Love" in the title like "Lieber ...and The Devil" or something (sure it was German). It seems Kissy was working in a burger bar for the minimum wage (do you guys actually have one there now?). I doubt she thinks she ruined her life moving into movies. She has what was once famously termed "The Divine Gift of Lechery", one hopes she will not be used/use herself up. The body needs to be cared for or it will be exhausted by its own appetites n'est pas? You know part of this imbalance actually stems from a lack of celebration of the male (not female) form? All other forms of sex, be they lesbian or two girl/one guy threesomes, to bi and gay porn seem to be "lower status" within the industry. The group-sex form despite it's homosexual undertones and content retains it's rabidly hetero profile. These truths are surely reflections of what is still basically a misogynistic (and therefore misanthropic) industry. Unless it faces these realities the industry will continue to bleat about it's importance in a liberal society whilst doing nothing to improve one. As far as porn's being art is concerned (at least, the porn that's discussed in this forum), the fact that the purveyors of it have to profit from it quickly, before it is soon forgotten forever, shows that it is not art. Once you've jacked off to it a few times, it's boring. It's like a McBurger. It has a short shelf life. |

Considering the fact that damn near all straight porn includes facials, there must be quite a load of us latent gays out there. It's interesting that you imply it 'acceptable' to come on a girl's face, but not on a man's. Little homophobia, there, son, don't you think? As for 'living in a fantasy land' when it comes to sex, lord YES! Of course I do! You don't? I think I found your problem. Fantasy, imagination, pretense, make-believe: it's what great sex is all about. It's the will to have FUN! Without it, we're just talking about that 'copulation' you say I have a pretty distorted view of. If that's all you're getting from YOUR sex life, brother, no wonder you don't get this whole porn thing. Porn as Art? Sure, but I don't think you'd ever understand. Still, I'll try. In his Preface to The Lyrical Ballads Wordsworth separated poetry from prose: ‘the verse will be read a hundred times,’ he said, ‘ where the prose is read once.’ I have always liked that as a yardstick for what rises to the level of Art in everything people do. From painting to books to recipes and, yes, to porn, too: Art is what we come back to – the paintings we always joy to see no matter how often, the music we still love after fifty years of listening to it, the food that never loses its taste – and the porn that still gets us freaks off today just the same as it did the first time we peered at it while feeding quarters into a peepshow booth in Times Square at 42nd St. forty years ago. You’re right that there’s precious little good porn, and lots less that I would defend as ‘Art’, but it exists, and I think most people here would have their own candidates. So, go right ahead and look down your nose at me and whoever else makes you feel better. God knows you need to get some enjoyment somewhere. |

| williamtheb Member 17 Posts 7/09 | The relationship between the participants and the camera (and therefore it's audience) is the central issue. Who controls that camera? It has to be the performers, sure they must oblige the audience, however ultimately it must be them who has the executive power. Engaging in sex acts because you have been forced economically so to do should be anathema to good porn.* Eros Edited by - Williamtheb on 12/6/2009 4:05:50 PM *To the memory of Jim Morrison. Edited by - Williamtheb on 12/6/2009 4:08:33 PM Edited by - Williamtheb on 12/6/2009 4:09:33 PM P.S I'm sorry "In Flagrante" may be over-exposed but he is right! Don't delude yourselves. ..but by no means all porn is artless (or witless). I think Siffredi is a great laugh and he clearly does have directing talent. You hit the "nail-on-the-head" though "In Flagrante". How does one seperate the urgency and intimacy from the plot in order to establish one? You cannot, urgency and intimacy are the life-blood of the plot, never distract your audience with trivialities.
