Raw Talent: The Adult Film Industry As Seen by Its Most Popular Male Star by Jerry Butler, Robert Rimmer and Catherine Tavel (Aug 1991) Most of the books written by the women usually are not that great because they don't give you the juicy stuff you want to hear. They typically write these books after they have retired from porn and don't want to tell any embarrassing or self-deprecating stories and prefer to write hard luck stories meany to gain more sympathy leading into some kind of female empowerment story. The books written by the men tend to be more entertaining and dish the dirt. For example, Jerry Butler's book made him the Jose Canseco of porn. Edited by - zambi on 3/16/2011 6:53:11 PM |

You can look up his TV appearances on Youtube for more of his hilarious cocaine spiel. Marc Stevens and Eric Edwards also wrote books about their careers in porn. There's also a book 'written' by Tina Russell that's a nice time capsule of the early hippy days of porn. The best books tend to be from actual journalists who have done their work imo, like Blue Money, Porn Gold, Sinema. Edited by - BlackSix on 3/17/2011 6:38:52 AM |
