It's a pity because porn in my view is one of the few video media art forms that has yet to have a golden age. It's had a dawn(1970s) but not a golden age. It's a real Jekyll and Hyde industry in terms of the good and the bad. The only hope is that the next breed of agents and producers/directors actually have some qualitative differentiating ethics and aesthetics that changes the game for the better. Whatever the solutions are they will have to be solutions in the context of porn, it's not going to involve PC language and the stuff you see in academic institutions. I immensely dislike that type of ideological puritanism and am glad that porn is immune to it. Unfortunately porn at its worse is the other side of the coin. Again the solutions will have to be in the non pc context of porn. [Link]
