"We have chosen not to renew certain contracts. The girls will always be part of the Club Jenna family, and we fully support them in everything," CJI president Jay Grdina told AVN.com. While Moore, St. James and Lee were unavailable for comment, AVN.com spoke to Sophia Rossi about her split with the company. "I loved working for Club Jenna; it was a fantastic experience," Rossi said. "It was a great way to get started in my career. Right now, I'm just going through different negotiations and seeing which ones I feel are suitable for me. Basically, it depends on who's offering what I feel is decent, so that I can raise my family and be proud of my work and still be respected." According to Rossi, her exit from the company came down to a contractual dispute. "I love performing, and I got held back in this sense because only three movies were released in two years," she said. "I want my fans to be able to have more of me, I want to rise to the top, and I can't do that if no one is releasing movies." Rossi told AVN.com that she hasn't ruled out returning to Club Jenna and its owner Playboy in the future. She added that she is still making promotional appearances for the company and remains on good terms with both Grdina and Jenna Jameson. "I just went to Jenna's birthday party, and we speak weekly," she said. "I do a lot of events for them still; I've always been the girl that draws a lot of fans, and as Jay has said, 'once a Club Jenna girl, always a Club Jenna girl.'" The glamorous blonde starlet has several movies due out from Club Jenna, including Rossi's Revenge. "It's really incredible," she said. "It was directed by Bill Fisher in Miami, and it's super-hot and sexy…I think it'll probably be my best work to date. I'm really excited for it to be released. I did a boy/boy/girl in the movie, and Jay said it was the best scene he's seen of me – I worked with Marcus London, Tommy Gunn, and another guy. I also did a really hot, intense scene with Gina Lynn. It was off the hook!" The current Club Jenna roster includes Jenna Jameson, Brea Bennett, Roxy Jezel and Jesse Capelli. According to Grdina, former contract girl Krystal Steal will join the company for this year's Erotica L.A. expo. "I am really happy with our current group," Grdina said. "We are very lucky. However, hasn't it always been known that once you sign a contract you'll do fewer movies for a lot of money and you're also marketed well. I mean, I've heard some people say you're shooting yourself in the foot once you get a contract because there's possibility you're not making enough as the gonzo girls. I don't know. I figured once you're a contract girl you're legitimately a "Porn Star" as opposed to "Adult Film Actress" I hope the girls remain positive and pursue other ventures and can land a big contract. They were hyped to be Porn Royalty and hopefully other studios/companies don't shun them. I worry more about Chanel St. James. I know a lot of people were awaiting her arrival in the business and she was only in The Provocateur and a few others. She only started in the business when being hand picked by Jenna. There's probably tons of movies waiting to be released that they'll do in their own sweet time. And that's money lost to the girls purely for out of sight, out of mind. It will be interesting to see if any of the major companies decide to grab any of the girls themselves. [Link] |

What a bummer! I don't see why Jesse would leave Club Jenna considering she only did Girl/Girl. Even in Chatte Magnifique she was in Girl/Girl and wasn't even topless. Very Soft Core! I would assume only Club Jenna would allow her to do that and ONLY that considering most companies would make her do more for a contract. Maybe most of the girls felt they would never be "stars" considering they were overshadowed by Jenna's fame and wanted to make a name for themselves instead of Jenna's Star Power. Ashton Moore - A veteran performer with built-in name recognition, her recent return to boy/girl scenes has created fresh buzz for her. Sophia Rossi - A fan favorite with a loyal following, she seemed to genuinely enjoy meeting her fans and had a warm, personal demeanor. Chanel St. James - Recieved mainstream attention through My Bare Lady, her first vehicle Chanel No. 1 got kudos from critics and fans.

I think it's just plain business...Brea and Roxy have enhanced name recognition via Playboy's American Sex Star, and bringing Krystal Steal back sounds like money in the bank to me. I'm not a fan of Krystal, but plenty of other people are. [Link] |
