I don't think that they should spend their time doing so unless they are transitioning to an IT job. If they have draw as an entertainer, then clearly it will be more economic for them to sharpen their business skills by being a website adult entertainment provider using their good name -- and paying one of the very many excellent website builders/maintainers out there.
Still -- the question stands -- which porn stars actual maintain their own website? It sticks in my mind that Asia is not alone.

Asia Carrera retired from porn to become a full time webmaster with her husband. She's a brilliant woman and even did a review for Maximum PC on Photoshop. I believe that Annie Cruz is responsible for her own code and graphics. I remember her showing Kylie Rey the site in the bonus scene from DAC's Sakura Angel.

ok, this may not mean that you can code html but that you are rather intelligent
well i did my own website for years, the designing everything, just when it got to big for me, i got a webmaster, and now it got even bigger so i got another webmaster, but until last year i did all html, all designing everything myself. for me its like a relaxing thing, how some people play xbox, i am trying to figure out new programs, do photoshop a lot, and before putting the html codes to my site. some technial stuff i still do, just no more design(although i have 100%input)or billing or whatever.
I haven't forgotten her... gorgeous and never as big a star as she should have been.
Porn stars who code are sexy... for this geek at least.

Well let's face it, she was rather conservative. Never did more than one guy in a scene, did anal, what, 2-3 times in a 10 year career? She was a little too classy for what porn has become in this day and age. If she came along in 1985, it might have been different.
I have always been an Asia fan, although I do have a minor issue with some of her opinions/comments. It's true that she wasn't the Chloe-type performer, but she was one of the most beautiful girls ever in porn. Her smile was amazing, and she was always smiling during her scenes. She loosened up later in her career and started taking the occasional facial, and did a few anal scenes. The one with Tom Byron and Kim Chambers in Cumback Pussy 6 was the best of the bunch.
She has definitely retired for good, and now lives in Utah with her husband and new baby. I just read on her website that they are thinking about having another one soon because she wants them to be close in age. They are planning on homeschooling, so it would be easier if they are close in age. She was candid about having trouble losing the pregnancy weight, and did not shy away from putting up pictures of her throughout her pregnancy. As for her website, while Asia is very smart and knows a lot more than I do about computers, it isn't that hard to learn HTML from what I hear.

I wouldn't be suprised if many stars coded HTML, because... put bluntly - it's not really coding. It's just formatted text & is VERY easy to do. It's very much like adding markup text to replies infact.
The more difficult aspects are ASP/PHP/Perl as that is REAL coding and Kudos should go to those who have masterred these - porn star or not!
Juha, not off the top of my head. Of course I don't really know her at all, but at times I have gotten the impression that she looked down on some people. She was very intelligent, and sometimes it appeared that she felt the need to let people know that. But again, that is my perspective, and doesn't come from firsthand experience. Also, she has made some political comments that I didn't care for. But these are quibbles. As I said, I have always been a fan. It didn't detract from that.
Yeah, I've got to be the biggest geek ever -- and PROUD DAMMIT! :) Currently re-designing and editing more of my scenes for my site at the moment, so check it out soon...
