Why do they do this? I would be very interested in many of these titles if they did not have this silly blurring out.
Highly annoying.
Do they make these without the blur?

Yes it exists; use the word "uncensored" in your searches for Asian porn or JAV.

I have actually found some titles that are uncensored on Ebay, but of course they are copies. I don't mind copies as long as they are inexpensive. But almost $10 for a copy?

That's because the "legit" version is often very expensive or impossible to obtain. Many JAV titles are $50+ each, if you are lucky enough to find a distributor who has an English-language website, AND will ship to the USA, AND accept US credit cards, AND has available the titles you want. And shipping is a gamble because of the customs issue. If customs intercepts/confiscates your dvds, you're just out of luck and your money is lost. So...with all those considerations, $10 doesn't sound so bad.

The reason they do this is it's a law in Japan that you cannot show any genitals in pornography-so you'll see it's just genitals that are censored. This has led to some clever shit in Japan to make their porn more interesting-such as latex condoms to avoid the censor, bukkake-to exaggerate the ejaculative aspect of sex such to make up for the censoring as well as a variety of other crazy shit.
