But once a girl advertises she'll do that, that's basically all the work she gets offered, and within a week Heidi was at the doctor's. Her initial argument was that being new to L.A., she needed cash quickly in order to get an apartment, etc. -- but after her brief porn experience she typed up her resume and went looking for a day job. And this is a woman, albeit previously rather sheltered, who was in her late 20s, as opposed to the usual 18 or 19 year old ... You certainly do hit on the heart of an unsolvable conundrum, though -- sometimes the reality of what does indeed make a great porn scene isn't humane or responsible. The libido knows no guilt or shame (except as those qualities feed into it). Finding the proper line to balance on as a producer/director is no easy task -- while there's quite a few sociopaths out there who just don't care (I'm sure there's a couple of c ompanies and/or websites that daydream about marketing the video from the O.C. rape case), most of us face these complicated issues all the time, and despite sweeping generalizations from myself and others, there really aren't any foolproof, easy solutions. Me, I happen to like a lot of the very dark, non-hardcore Japanese sex thrillers Itheir heydey was in late '70s -- to 1990 or so), because they satisfy that darkest side of me without doing any damage to the individuals on the screen -- it really is just acting, in this case! I also have found guilty pleasure in a lot of the Greenleaf Classics and other pulp hardcore novels of yore -- they're far more extreme than anything a video producer could ever conceive, but at the end of the day, it's just words on paper -- not people's lives changed. What I was saying is that she wasn't prepared for the size and wildness of extreme porn scenes .... You might or might not enjoy some of the stuff coming from a new studio located here in SoCal but shooting in Japan -- Tsubaki House.
