Getting back to the subject of this thread, one performer that comes to mind for me is Abella Danger. Between the change in hair color (she's a blonde now) and her exclusive contract with the MindGeek sites (Brazzers, Reality Kings, etc.), she's really fallen off my "porn radar" this year. The only porn Star who pulled this off successfully in my opinion, is Aletta Ocean. I think because she basically went into it with the mentality of “I’m going to turn myself into a blow up doll” so she got the huge ass, lips, cheeks etc etc and just owner the look she was going for. Aletta is a rare case of a girl who was born a 10 and basically turned herself into a 12 with major plastic surgery.
Jessa, Lana and Lela were basically born with everything other girls would kill for but for some reason they wanted something else? It’s such an interesting topic, I’d love to hear the reasoning from girls like them.
Many people simply have it in their heads that "natural" is always the superior look. Sometimes it might be, sometimes it isn't. I was totally unaware who Lana was or what she looked like until I saw so many comments on this board about how she "ruined' herself with cosmetic surgery. I was expecting her to look strange. But what I found was a very hot and sexy looking woman. I saw some pic of her before she had the work done and thought she was pretty and nice looking but I don't think she was better looking than she was after the transformation. Plus the changes weren't anything major in my opinion. Same with Jessa. They both made changes to go for a more "glam" look. Most of the members here just care about anal, IR, and extreme sex but for the porn performers there are niches in porn when it comes to looks and the type of look they have dictates what type of porn they'll get and how much of they'll get. Petite girls with small breasts typically get certain types of work. Natural girl next door types get certain types of work. Big ass, big boob girls get certain types of work. Glam/Bimbo girls get booked more often for certain types of work. Girls in a particular niche will need to change their appearance after awhile because after a time it gets harder to get work in that niche after they've shot time and time again for the studios that shoot that type of content. The girl will need to change her look or the type of performance she does to move on to another porn genre. Or she will have to change her look to simply keep things fresh and get her noticed by fans (old and new). Lots of fans simply hate any sort of change and complain if a girl changes. But to be honest a girl shouldn't listen to those fans because they don't have a girls bet interest in mind and only care about what they like. And the truth of the matter is if that girl never changes those fans will start to ignore that girl after a time anyway if she doesn't bring anything new to the table. So, I don't doubt for a second that Lana and Jessa did the right thing by going for a different look. Some fans will claim and think they hurt their career but those fans are judging things solely off their feeling and tend to think everyone else feels the same way.Before her enhancements Lela was just another pretty pornstar. After the enhancements Lela got noticed, got people talking, tapped into a different audience, and got more/different types of work.And yet, there are lots of people in these forums that think she ruined herself with the surgery. Years later she's still (I think) shooting and seems to have had a very successful career.
Long story short...Girls should make decisions based on what they think will work best for themselves and their careers...not for fans who only care about what they want and will mostly stop watching them after a time and move on to the next girl. The sad thing about fans who complain when a girl changes their looks is that in many cases they had stopped watching that girl anyway.
Aletta definitely still has a quite active career. She shoots for her site constantly. Since she doesn't shoot for the mainstream studios, ADT forgot she exists. Well for me Jessa Rhodes was a 9.9/10 and after her work on her body became a literal 10/10 and she always gives amazing performances, each and every scene is almost perfect.
The issue is he consistency, she's too consistent in delivering great work, which makes her scenes a bit monotonous if you've watched all her work, like me.
Pornstars who have highs and lows are more exciting whenever a new scene pops out. But I still do it to each Jessa scene.

At first when Sophie Dee changed to a brunette from blonde (and I tend to dig brunettes) and got a boob job I didn't dig it but over time I came around to quite liking her 'new' look, particularly as she became even more curvaceous over time.
