Now in regards to the subject at hand. Of course fans should care. Normal people should always look at a fucked up situation and talk about it in the hope that it gets better. Just because some people in the talent pool don't care what their actions do to the health of other people in the industry doesn't mean that we shouldn't scream at the top of our lungs that it's both wrong and something needs to be done. One of the things the condom law will do is make sure that less people will get the dreaded phone call informing them that they need to come back and get another test or worse that they now have a STI. Too often everyone keeps saying that the number of HIV cases is tiny and that is true when you consider the total number of performers is in the hundreds if not thousands but frankly I am more worried about the fact that most performers have had at least one STI while working in the industry and it wouldn't surprise me to hear that most of these have had more than one STI. Herpes won't kill you but you still have an incurable disease which will affect every relationship you have in the future. How many people want to say to a potential sexual partner that they have herpes prior to going further in the relationship. How many people will want to go further once they hear that?
