I'm with BigBob on this. Time for dissent.
If giving 100% means doing ass to mouth, double penetration and other circus shit, count me out. August is a veteran that is hot, and has done some really good scenes (I won't deny she can be lethargic). I think the porno world is better with a balance of August, Sara Stone and Brooke (that get by more for beauty than intensity), coupled with the more intense performers like Gianna Michaels, Missy Monroe and Tyla Wynn.
I don't necessarily think 100% means all that, at least in my book. But she could at least try to look like she enjoys a cumshot every now and again. Or at least pretend she isn't afraid of it. I mean most of her cumshot scenes are lacking. It looks as though she's either afraid of it or just disgusted by it. I'm personally not saying she is a bad performer. I'm just saying she isn't a great one. Her scenes are just "plain" and dull. They have no energy or flare to them. And she doesn't really seem into it. Now there are a couple of scenes of hers I enjoy a lot. And she is pretty hot. She just needs to work on the energy she brings to the scene, because too much (or in her case not enough) can ruin a scene with great potential. She has the looks, the body and the potential. She just needs to learn how to use them. You can't be uptight in porn. Especially with competition like there is now.
Oh I've seen plenty of movies from her in the past year or so. I actually own a few which I thought were good. Ass Worship 6 for example. I also have Hand to Mouth 1 and as I was saying before, I was let down with that seen yet again. Her scenes are lacking, even in 2005.

Sigh! Its like I said before. But I guess I didn't make my previous statements clear or specific enough. So I'll say it again. Not all of her "AUGUST'S" scenes are bad. Most of them are decent. Some are good. And even fewer are great. The key word here is consistency. So 2/5 (as opposed to her old track record of 2/10) of her scenes are good. The thing is it doesn't stay that way. She does 1 or 2 good scenes, and then she falls off. Then does 1 or 2 more good scenes and then down goes her performance again. With the amount of competition she has now-a-days with girls like Jasmine T, Jasmine B, Tiffany Rayne, Georgia, etc. You would think she would bring her A game to her scenes everytime, not her B. But no.
In any case. I originally only wanted to make a quick comment in this thread and it turned into a back and forth essay. In the end you have your opinions and I have mine, as does everyone else. And I don't have to explain myself or my reasons to anyone. So its the end of the line for me as far as this debate between you and I goes. I have better things to do on my day off then to argue all day with and obsessed fan. On that note............
I unfortunately have to agree with CJ,though August is still a girl I hold dear.She could indeed step up her game,we know she's not "innocent" anymore and I have the feeling she was a little more hip to the game than she let on,even in the beginning.
But she chooses to coast,and coupled with her other sources of income,she can't be too motivated to turn it up.And I think she definitely could turn a new page in her career,she would definitely be white hot if she began a phase of circus acts(damn you shriners for ruining porn,DAMN YOU!!!).Even without the circus acts,she could capitalize on her time-sensitive talents instead of being a niche favorite.
