(Don't tell my Armenian grandma). Anyway, yesterday Cenk did a story on the racism in porn. Cenk was surprised in this day and age of a black president that such a phenomena is still an issue. TMZ did a story on how Alexis Texas won't do black men. Aurora Snow was on from somewhere in Kansas. She was terrific. Very poised and insightful about the career arc of women in porn and how old geezers in the industry (producers and talent agents) are still hung up on black dick in a white chick. Only 20% of Models at LA direct are "open" (hah haha) to doing black men even though it sells consistently in a time of diminished sales. Color me impressed (more hahahha)  [Link] |

If they weren't there wouldn't be a Black section in the smut shacks. They would be interfiled with all het porn.) A blackball (no pun intended) envirnoment of passive aggression (too difficult to book for fuck scenes) is not worth the risk for a black performer (who wouldn't do whites) to become blackballed when there has never been more opportunities to perform in scenes with white men/women AND blacks. So as a niche of the market, their entire goal is to catch on in the mainstream. Why be in porn at all if you are only going to limit yourself to a sliver of the market (fellow blacks only); even if that slice of the pie is growing. Especially as bookings for everyone is drying up in the age of the the Tube sites. And I agree Dispo. It is a double standard. Those exist in all businesses. The end result is to make money not break taboos. There is still a mindset that this will cost you in the South and rural Methland.
