I'm curious why the quality of the average porn chick has dropped so badly in recent years. It's almost depressing. Yes, the 90s and 2000s were the golden age, but even the early 2010s had some decent talent. But the late 2010s onwards has been incredibly depressing.

To me the quality of the performer is not the issue. There are still just as many great ones now as there was a decade ago. I just think that most of performers today are victims of a system that has seen a constant reduction of return on their investment to the point because tube and torrent sites have managed to do to the porn industry what every right wing religious zealot couldn't do. They have reduced it to a tiny amount of players all fighting for the same piece of the pie and all of them seeing that piece get smaller and smaller.

More a reflection that there are cultural and societal differences that are very pronounced. For instance tattoos - people getting heavy amount of tattoos is no so uncommon - tattoo styles/taste have changed back 10/20 years ago the "tramp stamp" was a very common staple, now that's not in and getting tattoos on the thigh or under the boob has become the trend. Beauty/size/weight shaming/judging is highly frowned upon, back in the day girls felt pressured to look a certain way, today if there's a girl that is "heavier" she isn't going to be mocked or face any kinda judgement. Many other things as well including the porn industry changing big time with the rise of social media and only fans. Girls are not a dependent on your typical porn studio to make a career, so less longevity in a tradition sense.
There's still a market of performers and type of scenes that match up with your taste, it just so happens that isn't quite the standard, just seek out the stuff you like and don't insult other's that don't line up with your taste. Sounding like an asshole will do you no favors. This isn't new, I'm sure people that were fans of porn back in the 80s/90s hurled similar complaints as plastic surgery become a growing trend and the way porn was shot and distributed changed.

I do agree that the older days were better. My take is the girls are just as hot now as ever. However, they are more prepared now where as before, it was the unprepared that made things interesting. In terms of beauty, today there are far, far, far more beautiful women doing hardcore porn both in quality and quantity. It's not even remotely close. That brings us to performance. Again, the previous era's had far less attractive girls overall who would simply be a lot more nasty in their scenes. That's what they had to rely on because they weren't as pretty as the top echelon beauties of their era. Although today, the extreme circus acts niche is far more extreme than ever before as well.

A lot of the 90s were close to a nadir in porn to me, only the late 80s was more barren. But rven then there are a number of great performers so I'm not seeing it.
