Female Performer of the Year: Bobbi Starr She looks average and her body is not especially stunning. For acting, she hasn't been in a major feature film. For wildness, she is far below women like Katsuni, Asa Akira, Brittany Andrews...etc. How come she can get this big award??? Best Supporting Actress: Jesse Jane Come on...Jesse Jane was a "supporting actress" in Fighters??? AVN is going wrong. MILF/Cougar Performer of the Year: India Summer Julia Ann got this award in 2011. Why doesn't Lisa Ann get it this year? India Summer is good, but she is far below the legendary Lisa Ann! [Link] |

I think Bobbi has a very classy type beauty and doesn't go for the overly made up, big hair look so many other girls who many consider "stunning" go for. I'd be willing to bet if you saw those girls with no make-up, hair extentions, etc against an un-made up Bobbi, Bobbi would rank much higher than you'd think. I haven't seen every scene from the girls you mention but from what little I have seen Bobbi's wildest performances beat out both Asa and Katsuni's. "Brittany Andrews"? I'm not sure what "wild" stuff you've seen from Brittany Andrews. Did she make a comeback and is now considered a "wild" performer? Anyway, I'm both glad and surprised Bobbi got it. One of the reason I (and probaly most people) don't pay much attention to who actually wins those awards is because they seem mostly political. I remember watching one of the awards shows on SHOWTIME a couple of years ago and I was able to predict about 85% of the winners just based on who they were and the studios they worked for without ever seeing their performances. That year Bobbi Starr was up against a couple of contract girls for BEST SEX SCENE and lost. How is that possible? I think people like the idea of porn awards show and they might be fun to attend and watch but with most casual porn watchers they don't mean much or carry much weight. I'm sure the girls who win take a bit of pride in winning but I can't see where it makes a whole lot of difference for them career-wise. [Link] |
