How many releases does it take to make a Series? Hellfire Sex has 3 releases. Screw My Wife has 50 releases.
You're just now figuring out how inane most of these categories are? We only released 1 volume of Wet Dreams in 05 and there's only 4 in total. That's okay. At least Drive Thru was nominated as best foreign series even though the last volume was all shot in the U.S.
I can't call it but I know I really enjoyed Just Over Eighteen #10(Cris Taliana, Teagan, Sally Rodeo, Jessica Sweet, Eva Angelina & Mellisa Lauren) and Wet Dreams Cum True #4(Tory Lane, Dasha, Makayla Coxxx, Jenaveve Jolie, Lauren Phoenix & Vanessa Lane). AVN got it right with these two seeing as how they really were two of the more outstanding releases of '05.

We're shooting Vol 51 next Wednesday, Nov 30th:-)). I love being on that set, and hosting the series---I wonder if I should get a hair cut, just in case I get "lucky"!!!!!
Oops! I mis-spoke----it's Vol 52, we're filming on Wednesday; Vol 51 was the one in which we had to evacuate the location when the Chatsworth fire was nearby and the Fire Dept was there providing us "Structure Protection" as we were filming away!!! Certainly, Vol 51 certifies the series as "smoking" HOT!!!
Yet series like Flesh Hunter and Feeding Frenzy, from Jules Jordan/Evil Angel (always at or near the top-of-the-list of fan favorites), don't get nominated?
Baker's Dozen would be my choice, but the three Red Light series mentioned are good as well. Zero Tolerance makes really good stuff, but I haven't seen the Wet Dreams series.
Wet Dreams usually has the girls in some sort of themed costume, Monica Sweetheart in a maids uniform comes to mind and she was absolutely stunning in it, a good series too.
My favorite Zero Tolerance series is Strip Tease Then Fuck.
I think that next year, after 3rd Degree moves past only 2 or 3 volumes in their series, they will be deserving as well.
FWIW, I was glad to see the North Pole series get a nod. It's one of my favorites. Most importantly, it has remained faithful to the concept and integrity of the series for all 50+ volumes. It consistently delivers exactly what you are expecting when you purchase it, and I like that in a series :)

I was told that in the series categories, you're supposed to have 2 or more from the series released during the eligible year.
Last year I had to scratch AVN's nomination for Rocco's Initations from the Best Pro-Am Series category, because Rocco had only released one Rocco's Initiations during the eligible 12 months.
Feeding Frenzy is in Best Oral Series. Flesh Hunter is in Best Gonzo Series.
