And maybe Melissa will win in the European category (formerly known as the "Katsumi category"), though I do think she deserves something for F3. If not the best actress trophy, at least something for best scene ...
I'm really digging Brianna Love this year, but I have to give the go ahead to Annette. There is just something about Annette, for me, that I've said many times before but bears repeating - it is otherwordly how she balances between being vulnerable and an out of control fuck demon. I've never seen this before, and it is utterly mesmerizing. Brianna rocks, and I'd be almost as happy if she won - such a sweety!! I would also be satisfied with Rebecca Linares, though I admit only having seen a few of her scenes - brialliant, passionate, drop dead gorgeous performer. Again, congratulations to all! Go Annette!! Because regardless of what you think of her or her performance personally you've got to admit that's a tremendous slight and if I were Eva Angelina, I might be a little annoyed at the omission and lack of recognition.

Except in your new scene for Filth Cums First 2, didn't really get into the whole dead fuck scenario, Sasha's so good at being vocal in her scenes and that wasn't utilized in this scene, she was still stunning to look at though.

Jenna Haze deserves this the most. With her return to B/G and gonzo, she has been tearing it up and she looks just as good as ever, which is pretty fuckin fine! Hell, she deserves it for Jenna Haze Darkside alone, but she has pumped out quite a few other winners for sure. I would venture to say that nobody on this list sells DVD's like Jenna Haze does. She has a perfect body, a great attitude, and is one hell of a performer. There are some other good ones on the list, but you can't say all that about any of the others. i love going to the AEE the Award Show is such a joke i feel but i am still glad that there is something that at least gets everyone together once a year
i just am not sure how you can rate of try to give out awards in such a standard category when the girls in the industry when so many do such different stuff Gonzo and feature is like fruit and vegetables i agree with almost everyone with the girls who are not nomed and then there some girls you scratch your head on
ahhh, the "Riviera", what a wonderful place that was this summer, full of P.O.V. dereliction, beer swilling, and post ejac skinny dipping w/a select few virtuous starlets. now many do use mr.Silver's/Creepy D's place for shooting, but none insist on quality pool time w/frothy cold beers flowing in the 100+ degree valley heat like I do. when I have scenes to book, that place is right up at the top of the list mainly because of the Riviera-esque amenities. that and Desi's pad, lol. next year's batch of shoots will definatley have me back over there throwing my weight (and pigsauce!) around, hehe. lates, Von S. p.s.; sorry about the thread derail, Annette Schwarz all the way! Awards are generally speaking kind of hit or miss ...sometimes they get it right. I think the winners for this category the past few years have been worthy, but I challenge anyone to actually name the winners of the last 5 years. Audrey Hollander ... Aurora Snow ... Ashley Blue ... Lauren Phoenix ...Hillary Scott ... Interestingly, 4 out of 5 are still active ... so maybe the prize is a good indicator of career longevity. And none of the winners are feature-contract girls, so perhaps the inclusion of such talent is just a name-check? I think this lineup is more competitive than ever ... Foreign nationals never seem to win, which could knock out Annette and Rebeca, two of the top 5 strongest contenders ... Sasha has the mainstream media exposure, while Brianna Love is -- hate to say it -- probably over-exposed right now in terms of sheer number of scenes coming out, though that may not be a drawback. The most logical betting choice is Jenna, in part for a 5-year career which argues she's actually overdue ... And if Jada Fire wins it's revolutonary, but when has AVN ever been about anything but the status quo?

Uh huh, and how many of those scenes were actually released in 2007? Versus the girls who were nominated for FPOTY? I'm not disputing Eva's work ethic. My God, no. I'm simply saying that 2007 was not her year to win this award. All of her stuff that's coming out now, like Big Wet Asses 12, is past the deadline for the 2008 awards. However, when you look at her slate for 2008, with E for Eva in particular, I'm gonna say Eva is a strong contender for the 2009 FPOTY award. That's money in the bank.
Well the 2 Favourites in this race are Brianna Love and Annete Shwaz. Rebeca Lineres is the Dark Horse in this race and could pull off an upset. I will be very happy if either of those 3 win it.They have all had a Big year in 2007 and Headlined so many joints.Most Importantly they never disappointed. Can anyone name one movie in the last year that made more waves than Jenna Haze Darkside? Even though there was a huge anticipation/build-up for the release, nobody was really saying they were let down by the actual movie. Jenna has given her HUGE fan base exactly what they were begging for in the last year. She has come back to gonzo B/G, has done a couple of interacial scenes, anal cream pies, foot fetish scenes, blowbangs, glory-holes, etc... (all without condoms) The only thing she hasn't done that everyone begs for is a fan fuck movie!! If she doesn't win this award, I would like someone to explain what the award is supposed to be for.

Well even though Jenna Haze did not win an Award for performer of the year 2006,that Film Darkside actually won Awards.So she was rewarded for her hard Work. Hope that puts ya mind at ease.
I thought the criteria for the nominees/winner of the "Female Performer of the Year" award is the girl who gave Great Performances in the Most sexvids during the year. Quality & Qantity both count. So, just because Eva works all the time, and is in a lot of videos, doesn't mean she should be a nominee for Performer of the Year. I've liked many of Eva's scenes over the past year, but NOT liked about an equal number of her scenes, too. Since AVN didn't nominate her for any scene awards, it does makes sense that they didn't nominate her for Performer of the Year, either. Like me, whoever did the nominating didn't like a lot of Eva's scenes. Of course Eva should be pissed if there are girls on the Performer of the Year list who are not nominated for at least one performance award, too.

You're saying Eva's scenes are better than some of the nominees. Maybe yes, maybe no. But since it's AVN's show, they get to make that call. Of course, there are other awards events. The AVNs are the Biggest because they've been around a long time, and they put the most money into their show. IMO, that's why there's so many threads about the AVN nominations on this board. Bottom line: if performers, producers/directors, and fans don't agree with the AVN award system (as so many claim), then they shouldn't support the event through discussion on boards or attending the show in January.

Take out all the under-contract girls (except Stormy, the only contract girl who's done the most, IMO), Sunny Lane, and Amy Ried and put in Gianna, Roxy DeVille, Harmony, Chelsie Rae, Lexi Love, Dana DeArmond, and Sandra Romain and that would be my shortlist for FPOY. This year's list hurts my eyes. I can't look at that without cringing. My predictions have been mucked up! Nevertheless, I'll be happy if Brianna, Jada, Sasha, Jenna, Rebeca, or Annette wins the thing.
My pick for the Nominees are hard to choose avn female performer of the year(2008)??? Jade Fire, Kirsten Price, or Monique Alexander don't desire the nominee for avn female performer of the year....that's my opinion!!
I still can't believe how Sandra Romain was also ommited despite her being so popular with fans and critics alike. Chelsie Rae is easily the most underrated chick today and Dana Dearmond has just stepped up several notches in recent months. I checked out her dp scene in UP YOUR ASS 28 and that was the strongets dp scene I have seen all year. She took on Justin Long and Jon JON and despite both guys being very Big Dana Dearmond showed exceptional skills to pull of a breadth taking performance. I do agree that this Years list is the Worst in years. At least the consolation is my 3 fav Girls Anette,Brianna Love and Rebeca Linares are among the top 4 Contenders for the award.
Not sure what fan popularity has to do with an AVN nomination but Sandra Romain was nominated for Female Performer of the Year in '05 and '06 so I can't really complain; those two were her standout years, in my opinion, not this year.
