Wow. I haven't read anything so blatantly rude and outspoken since MacKenzee Pierce's last post. There's nothing wrong with having unpopular or controversial ideas but when you choose unquestionably offensive humor to make your point, it somewhat negates the things you say that may have previously possessed a shred or two of validity. Because while I agree with a few certain facts (such as BBW titles formerly being made on the cheap and poorly done to nowadays bigger studios treating the genre with a modicum of respect that had once been missing) what I don't agree with is the way he chose to get his point across. April Flores had every right to call him, and by association the magazine, on the carpet for such crass, insensitive and ignorant comments. [Link]

I like larger women as much as I like thinner women. Granted, they could choose prettier larger women for a lot of the BBW porn...but all body types can be attractive (or unattractive) if presented in the right (wrong) way / light... The need of the AVN writer to throw in the stereotypical attacks shows just how immature and unaccepting people can still be. If you don't like something, don't watch it. If you don't like it and are paid to write about it, then at least show some credibility and objectivity in what you write.
There some DVD reviewers who express the same attitude as that AVN writer. Not only is it rude, crude, and inconsiderate to the performers, it is also un-helpful to the readers of the review. If I seek out a review of a BBW title, I'm obviously a BBW fan, and it tells me nothing about the DVD when the review consists of single sentence/paragraph saying essentially: "I hate fat girls...couldn't bear to watch the video...yuck."
Bacon Love is out of print. I just ordered it (used) a few days ago, awaiting arrival. Fingers crossed. Another I'd like to find is "Makin' Bacon", an out-of-print title from VHS era, featuring Jamie Monroe, a MILF from a time before there were MILFs.
I think it would be more weird if no one did react with a certain outspoken disgust, just like a lot of people would react in disgust to anorexic porn. The fat fetish is definitely being marketed too aggressively today, I've been stumbling over trailers and box covers I wish hadn't... Now I'm not anal about size, but obvious overeating will never be attractive to me and I will never understand its appeal.
It is normal and expected that 'average Joe Blow' on some blog/forum is gonna mouth off in typical "I can't stand fat chicks" fashion. It happens all the time. But someone in the porn business, working as a writer, should be held to a higher standard of professionalism. He should leave the sophomoric writing to the amateurs.
^ I found the text funny, it's outrageous but evil funny. The bottom line is that if you crack any joke about peoples weight, it will be offensive and many will simply not accept the funny part of it. Maybe it's out of line but it's still entertaining on a level no 'amateur' would reach. IMHO.
Way to screw up some cogent points, asswipe! I absolutely agree that BBW-themed vids have a poor track record (with regards to quality and attention to detail) that appears to be improving - but the manner in which he presents his argument illustrates the actual thought-processes that created the negative environment to begin with!
