She just doesn't appear in enough movies. For the most part I like the nominees, particulary Crystal Ray, Lauren Phoenix and Mercedez (if it's the one from No Cum Dodging Allowed). I would have liked to have seen Sabrine on this list, but I don't really have much of an opinion for the others Tom listed. Their scenes just don't seem all that special to me. Interesting list really. Yes there are a lot of glareing omissions but some interesting choices for AVN to make really. I wouldn't have expected them to put Simone on their list even though I think she is hot. As far as missed women and some being around for a while I stopped trying to figure that one out long ago. On one hand they don't seem to nominate a lot of women for this until their second year and then you have years like when Jennifer Stewart won with only one movie released. [Link]

It's too bad ADT doesn't have its own awards, though I suspect if it did that it would open up too many cans of worms. Probably the only way ADT can work efficiently as a forum that's "ahead of the curve" is to encourage a pluarlity of news and opinion -- as opposed to anything autocratic. Click to expand Well we have to be fair. Publication in print takes longer than it does on the web. It takes a while for the writers at AVN to get enough of a look a particular girl to notice. I'm not making excuses for them, we just have to understand how it works. Their cut off date is always going to make it tough as well. They have to stop in October so a girl making her first movies in July might not even have more than a couple on the shelves by Oct. I have some girls on my Newbie list who started way before 2003 because when I did the polls last year they hadn't quite shown up on my radar. It's an imperfect science. That said, I'll take Den's awards over AVN's any day. He's the King and the rest of us just follow in his footsteps. I can't quite figure out Rachel Rotten or Simone over Melanie Jagger or Ammee, but the rest are kind of expected. LATE Rog [Link]

It gives girls a little more of a chance to become more mature in their scenes. Although for this year, I think Taylor Rain may have started out with her higher-profile gonzo stuff early enough to warrant a nom this year. But Arianna didn't even hit my radar until July, and I wouldn't have really considered her nom-worthy until October, IMO. And I'm knee-deep in gonzo stuff. When everyone else is past the curve, AVN hasn't even seen the sign that says "Curve Ahead". I think that they'd do a lot better for themselves if they would hire porn viewers who are capable of writing, rather then hiring writers who are capable of viewing porn. If they did that, they would only be behind the curve by the amount of time that it takes to put the magazine together. At almost seems as if they are dealing with a learning curve (or maybe even a "caring curve") on top of the publication turnaround. [Link]

Standing at 5'2" and 105lbs, she's been in the biz for nearly a year now, since the last Adult Entertainment Expo in Vegas. She was a stripper for about a year and then worked with Jack Napier and West Coast Productions. She's done a little bit of work for everybody since then, Afrocentric, Kick Ass, and Video Team mostly.
