Dear Adult Aficionados,
I'm a freelance producer/writer/editor with about 5 years experience in television and a few soft-core produtions, but have never worked in hardcore. Now, I'm in LA again after a one year hiatus from showbiz. I joined this site because I thought that somebody might find this idea interesting, and maybe it could develop into something concrete in time. Ideally I'd like to write and direct something along these lines, so I'd appreciate any info or advice that fans, producers or performers (Sasha?) might know.
The hottest chick (let's call her Ali) I ever stripped naked was in an Ayn Rand phase when I met her, which disgusted me and turned me on at the same time. Ali - a sharp, feisty, Republican, enigmatic, proud, waif-mystery (the list goes on...) brunette: she lived in another state at the time, and we had a few memorable nights in the strangest of places. When I later read the Fountainhead upon her recommendation, I couldn't shake Ali's psyche from my memory. The infamous faux-rape scene between Roark and Dominique burned some strange seductive mark in my mind that stretched far beyond Ali's sleek curves.
I've always wanted to express that kind of sexual tension on screen. I've tried to write it into mainstream feature films. It's not the typical porn at all, for it's the sex of devotion to one person that you've looked for all your life... the sex of elitists. It's a bizarre psychological tension of minds battling in the days of more restrictive sexism, but it does share one common adult theme: the female's false struggle against male domination, only to yearn for it upon physical defeat.

I kind of hate Ayn Rand as a person or philosopher, but I think her work is intriguing, fascinating maybe.
For those of you in the know, here are my questions:
Has there ever been a Rand-inspired porn? Or anything like it? I used to work for the Telluride Film Festival which played the most esoteric porns on the Wednesday before the fest, but I never saw anything like what I'm imagining, although Sasha's "Verite Erotica" sounds promising.
What do you think of Sasha playing Dominique? She's young for the part, but she's the most aggressive brain in the biz that I know of. Her philosophy towards pornography seems to be par with Rand in some strange parallel universe.
What do you think of a near silent feature-length porn? I find that most bad porn falls hardest with extended dialogue, and I tend to write with absolute minimal language. More of a ballet. I haven't seen too much of Sasha's work, but that's how I've heard it goes.
Does anyone know Roark's character and an appropriate hard core actor? Roark REALLY doesn't talk, so it's more about his natural facial expression... or lack thereof.
I am friends with one adult producer who I'm hanging with in a couple days, but I think he's aiming to get out of the business. So any help is very welcome...
Finally, Sasha - I know you read these sometimes. What do you think? I, personally, didn't read Rand until I was 24, but I wouldn't put anything past you. You could play the part even though it'd be another world from anything I've seen you in. I liked what I saw, but I want to help you take it to the next level that you always talk about. Please let me know - or find me on myspace...
Hope you guys are reviewing this DVD someday. It'll be different, but isn't that what we always look for? Something different?
